House minority whip calls out Gym Jordan and the GOP, starting ~ 1:30 she pointed out that she then pointed out Gym's record of voting against things like health care for veterans, children, and even 9/11 survivors. Gym has opposed lowering the cost of insulin, repeatedly. Gym wants to cut Social Security and Medicare “Over his 16 years in the House, Gym has never supported a farm bill. It means he has turned his back on farmers, on rural communities, just like he had turned his back on the Ohio State wrestling team Gym wants a national abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest or the health of a mother.
This is what happens when your party only stands for: 1) non-governing 2) sucking off Donald Trump Nobody can lead this nonsense besides the psychopath they've anointed as their god king.
I don't have a problem with this. They told them to call the switchboard and connect to their office and tell their Rep who they supported. That seems like a "fair" pressure campaign. It's posting people's cell phones, sending them threats, etc that's the problem.
There is an implied threat that those who do not support Jordan will get primaried by someone who has an A rating. That is not a death threat. I will give you that.
none of 5 Calif House Repugs voted against the insurrectionist; 2 from rural communities and 3 from metro areas. it;d be a safe bet that the 3 metro Repubs will lose the next election in uber liberal Calif
Has the republican party ever been this dysfunctional at any point in history? They literally do nothing beneficial for this country at this point, just settle this through boxing matches or the drawing of straws whole party full of clowns
They coordinated with each other to try to ensure that Jordan lost more support on each successive ballot. Their plan worked.
It sounds like MN Rep. and Majority Whip Tom Emmer might have the inside track to speaker. From what I'm hearing in various news services. One big problem is that Trump doesn't like him. https://www.cnn.com/2023/10/22/politics/house-speaker-race-emmer/index.html I don't know him or met him but I followed him when he ran for governor against a candidate I was campaigning for. He is an ideological conservative but not Trumpists which is why Trump doesn't support him. He does seem more reasonable than many current conservatives and generally got along well with people across the ideological spectrum including Democrats.
