Because this guy was so pissed off at his team, he decided to sell their sorry player on E-Bay...

Dyer up for sale on ebay

Newcastle's Kieron Dyer has been put up for sale - by a disgruntled fan.

The 25-year-old midfielder has been all over the back pages this week, following a reported bust-up with Sir Bobby Robson - and one supporter had has enough.

He has placed an advert on internet auction site ebay offering Dyer to the highest bidder.

The accompanying sales patter reads: "Hailed in his younger years as a superstar in the making, Kieron Dyer has spectacularly under-achieved in his five years at Newcastle United, as well as in his call-ups for England.

"(He is) currently arguing with his manager, ignoring tactical instructions and even refusing to play in position. Apparently Kieron knows what's best, you see."

The advert also makes reference to Dyer's "massively overpaid wages", which he apparently spends on "a ridiculous American Humvee, and excessively tacky-yet-expensive jewellery".

The bitter rant signs off: "This player is currently surplus to requirements at Newcastle, and generally annoying the hell out of the fans.

"Considering the number of other talented midfielders currently in the squad, he needs to go as quickly as possible. Especially if there's a defender coming in as part of the deal."

So far the item has attracted a top bid of £10m, although after a few inquiries and abusive emails, the seller added a footnote:

"I have to stress this is a joke. I don't really have Keiron Dyer for sale. Although, if I did, I would most definitely lock him in the cupboard under the stairs on match-days."
