Funnily enough, I was in SA with some lifelong Ranger fans while watching that Chiefs game. I said several times in the 1st half "this is ****ing ridiculous...but just wait"

eta, @MadMax I thought you were talking about Texans/Chiefs. I was in Houston yelling at the TV with my brother and dad for the Oilers one

That was my sophomore year at Baylor. I was with a good friend who was also a huge oiler fan. It was a cloudy kinda cold day as I recall, and it was just so depressing…the next summer they started the noise about moving. Just awful, man. I’m normally super optimistic, but at half of that game I already knew what was about to happen. I hate that memory!

Have I ever expressed how much I loathe CJ?

    Ehhh

Urquidy has been very up and down, if they got him in one of the down periods most mlb hitters could have yaked him

He is throwing very well now and has a history of success in bigger games

    Correct.
There is absolutely positively zero justification for Chas McCormick to ever sit on the bench against a LHP. None. Brantley isn't particularly good against LHP. Dubon is very good against LHP. Chas is MVP level against LHP. This is not a difficult thing to figure out.
Brantley sits and is your bench bat against a good RHP and he can DH for Dubon, Pena or Maldonado as the situation warrants.

Has CJ tweeted yet about the Rangers record in really important playoff games historically? I’ll hang up and listen.

Chas has been dominant against lefties this year. - 215 players had 100+ PA vs LHP this year. Chas was 6th w/ 177 wRC+.

    Tucker is 21st =154
    Yordan 36th = 144
    Dubon 51st = 138
    Altuve 53rd = 136
    Pena 60th =132

Chas and Dubon need to play.

This is the perfect opportunity to save some of Brantley's bullets

...and I thought the "claws and antlers" dugout routine was the most pathetic thing I'd ever seen the Rangers do

I do think Urquidy is for sure on a short leash tonight. He likes to challenge hitters and leaves a lot over the middle of the plate which these guys will take yard. We need to score early and often to just keep in front of them in my opinion.

    It was! He’s 23 now! :)

We were there before the Chris Burke game and before the Cardinals NLCS game where it finished with Bruntlett to Everett to Berkman
