Maybe smoke and mirrors is not right. He's a perfectly good #2 or #3 starter. I actually hoped the Astros would trade for him at the deadline.

But he should never be a shut down ace. He is also lefthanded, and the Astros have killed them this year.

    Nothing about him scares me.

I agree. I think they should go with exactly the same lineup tonight. I trust Brantley can do what needs to be done, even against a lefty.

He's pretty hard on his teams but he knows his sports. He absolutely did not want to play the Astros and was pissed at the fans chanting 'we want Houston!'

The lineup came to Dusty in a vision on the plane and they won. Better keep what works until it doesn't

I have no doubt that lifelong Ranger fans will freak out if we win tonite. Like me when the Oilers had a lead at half against the Chiefs knowing the lead wasn’t big enough and that we’d lose. That was pretty bad.

And sadly it got worse than that.

    F*** you, Frank Reich.

What if the oilers had just managed to kick another field goal somewhere in that 2nd half.

Dedicated fans can pick up on team mood and vibe, momentum and other subliminal nonverbal stuff going on with their teams. Rangers are new to success and winning and even with Bochy they have to be second-guessing themselves. That winning attitude and poise only comes with experience.

Chiefs was the year after….Reich and the Broncos game the year before are why I knew what was coming.

Chas has 2 hits in 6 ABs as a pinch hitter with a HR. I wouldn't mind him coming off the bench to replace Maldy late

I've pretty much blocked all of that out as it was too painful to retain...so I get the dates out of order.

Totally understandable. I cancelled a date with my high school girlfriend after we blew the Denver game lol. She understood and her parents bought tickets and invited me to go with them the next season when the Broncos came to town! Too funny
