Same. Sochan is basically Usman Garuba with colored hair that won't stop running his mouth. I'd be shocked if this Spurs team wins more than 30 games. Victor is going to chuck them out of more games than he wins them.

Wemby's super special, no question. But I'm pretty sure you can rock him just by getting right up on him and playing him physical. He's a kid, he's had his way so far against very passive defenses. Hell, I'd put Boban on him briefly just to give him some bumps in the post. I think you guard him right now by the fact he mostly still plays on the wing and gets by on height and handling. We've got some decent dog like defenders now, you telling me Dillon Brooks can't disrupt Wemby's handles with the ball bouncing near to his face/chest every time? Come on now. Bully him around a bit, see how great he looks then.

 

i get a strong parsons/kuzma/oubre/wood vibe from him, meaning no character. the kind of guys who end up bouncing around from team to team b/c at the end of the day they're just f'n losers

 

If he is 25 in 5 years and still the same without any improvements, I give you credit for seeing it.

I think in fact a large percentage of NBA players are journeyman, I would say around 40% or larger.

 

albeit, the 4 who i referenced are/were journeymen due to lack of character and not lack of talent

 

Which is totally fair, however I think there is a scale of what you call being a jerk or being someone of questionable character.

Some grow up, some get worse, some stay the same.

Someone like Rodman you need to have at all cost because he is such a great rebounder for a championship team.

It is also relative to what the talent level is.

 

If Wemby plays he gets 18 or more in the 1st half...and Spurs up big at halftime.
