Agreed, I don't want to see him for the remainder of this series. He is such a head case. Unfortunately, this might not be an issue. We needed at least one game of the first two. Now the odds are stacked against the Astros. Anything is possible, but winning the series is almost in the "miracle" category. Essentially, they need a three game sweep. Go home, win one.
Everything, and I mean everything including Framber's absolute **** start to this postseason, has boiled down to situational hitting. Even in the games where the Astros (read: Framber) have gotten punched in the mouth early, they've always been presented with more opportunities to score than the opposition. The same can be said for both of these games in the ALCS. The Astros HAVE to do better when there are men on base. In the 3 games they've lost so far this postseason, I'd say there's been one constant: the plate approach when they've been trailing has been absolute dogshit. I'm not sure if it's mental, or if it's horrendous coaching, but that HAS to change tomorrow if they want to claw their way back into this series. We all know about the NOBLETIGER yesterday, but there were several other chances they had to push runs across as well. Altuve, Tucker, Chas, Yainer, Maldy, Pena, and even Bregman HAVE to start approaching those ABs significantly better starting tomorrow. Stop falling behind in the count, stop chasing breaking balls out of the zone, stop chasing fast balls above the zone, and stop trying to hit everything out of the park. And most importantly, PLAY LOOSE. This is still a series, and the Rangers know it.
I don't mind the Astros losing a series, I mind that they are losing to the Rangers...I already know that the first thing they will say if they win it this year is that it's the first legitimate baseball championship from the state of Texas...too bad for them last year happened...wallow in that chumps...
Those shitbags know full well they'd gladly take our 2017 season, scandal included, if it meant getting to claim a World Series title. **** them, and every other hypocrite that likes to spout off their holier-than-thou bullshit.
Agree with this and what's even more frustrating is all Diaz and Altuve had to do was put the ball in play when the bases were loaded and they both struck out. Diaz could've hit into a double play and they would've scored a run.
I would like to win again this year but 2022 was a beautiful time holding up that trophy. Rangers are hot but just have a feeling they are like a deck of cards. One crushing loss and they come tumbling down.
If the Rangers get there, Phillies will stomp them in the World Series. We will have always have caveat having beaten a Phillies team that the Rangers couldn't,
Bats better wake up because Yordan will eventually get intentionally walked I'm batting Brantley 2nd Altuve Brantley Bregman Yordan Tucker Abreu Diaz/Dubon Pena Maldy/Diaz
If y'all thought we had a puncher's chance vs the Phillies, think again. That train ain't being stopped until they hoist that trophy.
Favorites perhaps, but I wouldn't say by far -- especially if Arlington has home field (both teams have the same record). Rangers haven't lost a game and they've beaten better teams overall.
Ultimately it’s baseball. You don’t have to be better you just have to be better over the next week or so…and how you performed last week won’t matter much anymore when you get to this week.
Right now, Framber is our biggest problem from one single player. Dude was an ace last season and up until July this year. Now he's barely a 5th starter.
