    heya folks

anyways here were my thoughts about 2 possible deals with chicago:

the first is the pike/te for deke

i really dont need to go into the details of this trade as its details have been expounded too many times already

but here is the second separate trade that is possible, the reason why it needs to be a separate trade is because if deke is packaged in this deal the deal couldnt be completed till oct 5 when the trade 'buffer' expires

    so here is the trade:
chicago trades:chandler, chris duhon, eddie robinson
Houston trades: mo taylor and tyronne lue

it checks out with real gm i tried it earlier, but it can only be done after sept 1 because of lue' trade buffer.

chicago has had issues with tyson his attitude issues (curry is a better prospect still compared with tyson), duhon though a vet of the duke system is still a rookie backup and with a 2nd year hinrich being the starter having a bit of a more experienced point in lue would be better for them. mo provides them a solid low post scorer until curry fully develops and a better offensive complement to curry than AD right now. eddie is really thrown in to get rid of a bad contract for the bulls.

for the rockets: tyson is a young athletic pf that is a natural on the defensive end which is something that JVG loves. a disciplinarian like JVG I feel is exactly what tyson needs in a coach and i can see tyson really flourishing under JVG. offensively he still wont be a mo taylor but can develop a decent offensive game in a few years and there will not be any pressure for him to score in houston like there was in chicago. duhon is another player that can do well under jvg. he can learn under ward the JVG system and probably be the #3 pg in the rotation and probably by the 2nd half of the season be the #2 pg to give ward some rest so he will be ready for the playoffs. eddie robinson is another player who is talented but has issues and much like Tyson a coach like JVG maybe what the doctor ordered for him.

basically this is what our team would look like then if both trades go through:

    C: Yao/Deke
    PF: Howard/Tyson/Spoon
    SF: JJ/Boki/Robinson
    SG:T-mac/Robinson/Sura
    PG: Sura/Ward/Duhon

like i was saying earlier i expect ward to be the primary backup at PG but can see duhon taking the primary backup spot over during parts of the season to give ward a rest and ward will be the primary backup pg come playoff time for his experience

    what do u guys think?

Chicago is trying to rid themselves of ERob's contract and they know Deke doesn't want to play there, but they are not just going to give them away for two marginal players (one of which has a bad contract also) and then also throw in a good, young player.

I somehow think that John Paxson will decline without a blink of an eye. Basically what Chicago is getting back here, is a situational backup PG and a Marcus Fizer-clone. I know the Bulls want to get rid of ERob badly, but not THAT badly.

I don't think the Bulls will go for it but I think it's worth looking into it. Tyson can't score much but he can rebound and block shots. Juwan can take Mo's place.E Rob can be a backup SF. His main problem is his very poor 3 point shooting but he still can be somewhat productive. Giving up Lue for Duhon will hurt our shooting. This would leave with only Ward and Sura but I think your trade could help the Rockets as well.

I think Paxson may try to demand Houston accept EROB's contract as part of the Mutombo trade.

As far as Chandler, his attitude is great, it's Curry that is the problem. I don't think Paxson is looking to trade Tyson at all.

If EROB & Mutombo came together, that would mean MoT would have to go with Pike. The 2nd trade wouldn't materialize. also if Curry is the problem in Chitown, then would we want to work a trade for him?

If there were an expanded deal between Rox and Bulls, ERob and JuWann would have to be involved.

    Deke
    ERob
    Hinrich

    for

    JuHo
    Pike
    AG
    TyL
    + minimum contract for Wilks.

It works, and it could be argued that it makes sense. It is at least defensible.

However -- this would have to mean Rox really want KH and are willing to eat ERob's inflated contract.

Or -- Bobs would have to take ERob back to his NBA city of success + $3mil + draft choice(s) for Jahidi.

Remember, Pax is believed to be a big Howard man.

I could see MoT possibly being accepted by Chicago. How many years does he have left? ERob has two, but his situation is made worse the relationship between him and Skiles/Paxson.

The thing is, the Bulls don't have to trade Mutombo. His contract expires in a year, if they don't get a deal they like they can just let him come off the books and free up cap space next summer.

And Mutombo has only said he would prefer to be traded to a contender, he hasn't threatened to retire if Chicago doesn't trade him.

Getting Tyson Chandler is cool. I would like to see him pairing up with Yao for the next ten years. But what do we have to offer Chicago for him? It's a pipe dream.

#1 - What is your source that Pax is believed to be a big Howard man? Krause may have, but I've never seen Paxson talk about getting Howard.

#2 - If you read the Chicago papers, the player that Paxson and Skiles praise the most is Hinrich. He was a first team all-rookie selection last year, a good defender, smart passer, tough, good 3-point shooter, suprisingly athletic and very coachable.

In short, there is no possible way they would trade him for the package you mentioned...it'd be like the Bulls offering Othella Harrington for Yao Ming.

#3 - Hinrich, Gordon, Nocioni, and Deng are the Bulls future at PG, SG, and SF, with Nocioni the most likely canidate to eventually come off the bench at SG and SF. Chandler and Curry are the Bulls only two long-term prospects at PF and Center. Any trade involving these six players likely needs to bring back something that fits this scheme.

If Hinrich was traded, then Gordon needs to be the PG, and a SG is still needed whether Nocioni starts or not. Frankly, unless it's an excellent deal, it doesn't make alot of sense for the Bulls to trade any of these six player, and the least likely of those is probably Hinrich.
