and so has Brantley. Dubon isn’t replacing some scrub - he’s replacing Michael Freaking Brantley. Whatever , it is what it is. Hope they win

The lefty lefty is such old news. Some of y’all still get mad at the dumbest shitt that’s common sense for anyone who follows this team. He was never going to be in the lineup today

I think you can call this a restraint. The numbers say start Dubon over Brantley vs. an excellent lefty pitcher. Brantley batting would be one of Dusty's gut feeling decisions that we've been complaining about all season.

All I want is to just win this one, tonight....and the next...and the next....and the next. That is all I want.

Today is the 1-year anniversary of the 18-inning thriller against the Mariners. Hopefully we settle this in 9 easily.

JV better throw a gem. There are 2 lesser hitters in the lineup to accommodate him.

No, This is Dusty starting long time family friend over proven clutch hitter, That's what this is. I'd like to see those numbers you talk about.

    Brantley 1-5 .200 vs Montgomery
    Dubon 0-5 .000 vs Montgomery

It's obvious that Dubon is more due

Maldy 3-4, 2 HRs, 2b and 3 RBIs... who knew!

Brantley had a career .840 OPS vs RHP and a career .693 OPS vs LHP. His last full season in 2021it was worse (.924 vs .575) although in 2022 it wasn’t as bad.

Dubon has a career .809 OPS vs LHP and a .626 vs RHP.

So over their entire careers Dubon has hit lefties significantly better than Brantley.

If there's enough video, the Astros seem to get to a pitcher, regardless of how he has pitched. They must have some mean Artificial Hitting tech.
