During the post game presser coach Udoka actually said something about Alpi taking MORE threes and not just pump faking them. I'm with coach, let them fly, even if he hits them at just a fair clip this offense will be scary.
As I've watched the 2nd half of last game. Sengun is still not good on pick and roll defense especially if the ball handler stop and take a floater.

If the ball handler stop and take a floater, it means you're covering the lane to the rim, forcing the offensive player to a low percentage shot and doing a good job on defense. He made a couple of mistakes on transition defense and few lazy plays on rebounding but he did very well in PnR defense yesterday.
As predicated by a few people who actually can read the defensive end of the court.... many people already coming around to the fact that hey.... Sengun isn't close to being as bad as people made him out to be defensively. I'm shocked. Absolutely shocked.
It looks like Jabari will put up better numbers than the majority of players. Secretly I think Udoka's staff is favoring Bari plus he is on an upswing in efficiency.
Couple months with Ime is enough to turn one into a decent defender. We should sue Silas. How is it possible this r-tard to not be able to teach these guys anything?
I remember Sengun went head to head in OT with MVP Embiid with 5 fouls. that was enough for me to know Sengun was more than capable of just regular defense. I stil dont know what Silas was smoking.. man we lost multiple years because of Silas incompetency.
News flash! When you have guards that actually fight against screens instead of pretending dead, big men can do better defense! Even prime Hakeem would look like a clown on pnr defense in last 2 seasons Rockets team because in the last 2 seasons, pretty much every pick and roll action was played 2v1 against the Rockets.
Rockets would have been top 3-5 with prime hakeem last season. Rudy in utah played with exclusively trash guards and was number 1 every season. Dwight played with all trash in Orlando and they were great
Nah, he would have demanded a trade and then faked an injury until FO either traded him or signed a proper coach. We know this because it's exactly what he did.
Sengun showed a better performance yesterday for the first time after three years on the defensive side of the game than he did on the offensive side. (Definitely Udoka effect. Without any doubts.) Rockets will be competitive this year. Let's go to the play-offs.
i hope i'm wrong but i'm not sure Sengun is going to look that great in the Udoka offense. looks good defensively however. time will tell.
