I would never bet on a tweener guy as corner stone when I do not have a stable organization or a stable coach.

You bite more than you can chew......has been a big problem of the Rockets since the Morey days.

    • You had player types you cannot even begin to deal with.
    • Henderson is the only Scooter....we got that completely wrong.

I am so sure you never did anything wrong in your life, and how many athletes then been charged with the same kind of thing?

I hope the vast majority of people here have never close fist punched their significant other before. You think that's something that normal mentally healthy people do?

Still can't wrap my head around people who don't think FVV is a massive upgrade over KPJ (since we're keeping this thread alive)

Yeah, even if FVV regresses/takes a lesser role this year to the young guys the difference is still night and day. Some of those passes to cutters were something KPJ just couldn't or wouldn't do.

Because they look at points and assists and think they are similar, but don’t watch the games enough to understand how they get their points and assists so differently. One creates flow in the offense, the other breaks the flow of the offense.

This thread isn't alive because of that. It's because kpj's biggest stans litter this thread and post all day long.

his stans are a small little group but they spend the most time in here pleading their case.

One is paid 40 million, the other 15.8 ..... I mean KPJ should not even be paid 15.8 but you see who the better player is.

But still just a stop gap of player.

How anyone can even remotely try to defend KPJ at this point is beyond me. The bad part is that deep inside they think if he hadn't tried to beat and choke his girl to death they would still be finding some way to excuse him based on "superstar potential" and support him despite all evidence to the contrary.

Makes me do not want to draft only 19 years old players .....mang.

Mix it up with 22 year olds who are mature beyond their years.

Pretty tragic to have to pay 40 and 20 to players to just preach to those players.

And Wemby comes in and is just the Center of attention instantly.

when they've spent hours upon hours, days upon days, year after year defending his honor and were so sure of themselves ridiculing all the folks bringing up valid concerns and flaws

FVV getting back on defense against a Fastbreak he knocked the ball out of bounds. That is a winning play, that winning teams do.
Something KPJ is foreign to, KPJ would be lazy and not run back and give up those easy Fastbreak layups.

22 year olds aren't going to provide the same things FVV will (coach on the floor, real-time game adjustments, mentorship, experience etc). That doesn't mean we can't sign players like Jeff Green for that, but that's very different from what FVV is providing. Drafting 22 yr old rookies just because they're ready when your team isn't ready is super short-sighted.

The money thing is weird to me too because him making that much really has nothing to do with our roster moves when our young guys are ready to get paid and if anything gives us more real information on whether or not those young guys deserve to get paid.

Insane clip. Zero chance he would have lasted under Udoka.

They don’t watch fvv play and think he gets his numbers from chucking like kpj just because a couple of bitter Raptor fans said so. That’s why they kept saying he’s “NoT a ReAl PoInT gUaRd”. The biggest fvv haters were the kpj stans, because he lost his spot.

It is a snowball effect. Failed to win a chip, you clean house, then draft immature players, then undo your mistake by signing 'vets' for 2-3 years.

If you had a good conscience you would not need to undo your mistake or flaw every time.

It is just stumbling your way to the finish line.
