Agreed. It's time to move away from potentially talented young guys with red flags.

I'll tell you right now, Popovich would rip Tate out of our hands and kick our ass with him if given the chance. Tate is a hustler and smart AF. Y'all are going to be begging to put him back on the court in crunch time. Udoka knows what he has there and so do all the rest of the coaches in the league. I remember last year when we were tanking and Tate came back healthy, Silas threw him in the game several times and he started shifting the lead back to the Rockets and I was screaming "BENCH HIS ASS!! HE'S GOING TO RUIN OUR DRAFT POSITION!"

    Dude is a keeper.

    0.7 3PA

This is why ALL stats need context.

Yes, but his lower percentage before had the same low attempts. Small sample size, but positive trend (despite no trust from the coach at the time).

No trust in a 25% shooter is par for the course.
That said, posting an attachment highlighting 44% shooting on less than one attempt a game (for a career 27% shooter) is wholly disingenuous.

So no trust in a 25% shooter is par for the course, although the sample size is tiny.

When that same person shoots 44%, same sample size, then you dismiss it due to small sample size.

    Got it.

Only shows your own bias, nothing else.

Who said anything about sample size?

Funny how anyone who disagrees with you or calls out your misinformation and lies is the "biased" one.

If anything, the mental gymnastics and your insistence on propping up your hero with disingenuous stats only reinforces your well documented bias.

It is what it is Kemosabe

    lol

you claimed the sample size was too small when the sample was 44%, but you are happy to say he shouldn't shoot threes when the sample size of him shooting a low percentage at the beginning of the season is actually smaller

    as I said, bias

    I claimed no such thing.
If you're just going to LIE your whole conversation is pointless.

It says everything that the simple statement like "stats require context" ruffles your feathers.

All of that reckless crotch-jockeying is affecting your mental state.

Wouldn't make sense to trade Tate. He is the perfect Ime Udoka player.

I just don't get the hate man. It's wild. He is bad at exactly one thing and it's shooting 3 pointers. He does basically everything else well, all the non-stat-sheet things that make a team better and people just don't friggin see it.

Agreed, if he can just start hitting the corner 3 he’ll have a long career

This is a bold face lie lol, He cant shoot 3s lol So no not perfect. He is great off cuts and if he were taller I would say he could take Landales minutes otherwise I would rather give more minutes to Cam and Tari. We need a big that can actually back up Sengun I think the Rockets should try to trade him for Robert Williams.

Dont disgrace my childhood chuckwagon was 6'6 and built like a literal chuck wagon. Tate is 6"4 and built like a Nissan pickup. Tate's defense is nowhere near Chuckwagon. Listen if they are gonna play him as a big and he backs up Sengun and doesnt take minutes form Tari or Cam Im fine with that but I would rather have Robert Williams.

The bench is full, Cam & Tari need playing time so Tate is the odd man out and now playing center. If there is a trade of equal value, in a position of need. Why not? Tate is now the 4.5 (Amen) string small forward. He is rotation worthy, we are just deep.
