first people (well... TINMAN) were complaining about the uniform numbers... now you are all complaining about the UNIFORMS ?!?!?!?! you people have too much time on your hands and too much computer access
It took them 10 years to change the blue uniforms that pretty much everyone hated, what makes you think they'll change these any time soon? And besides, these are alright except for the 1980's futuristic numbers that they have. I wouldn't mind tweaking those some.
I dont think they need to change em completely but I think they need a lil modification. I think they should lower the "Rockets" lettering. Right now the lettering looks a lil too close the bottom of the V Neck. Maybe we can tweak the font a lil also I think they should change the font of the numbers on the jersey and make them numbers larger on the front and back. I agree that should change the material of the jersey. I thought they were going with a Dry Fit material........Most of the dry fit material stuff I see nowadays is not SHINY. The shiny look on jerseys is played out to me.....IMO And if it was me I'd get rid of the silver piping on the shorts. BTW I really hope we can get a third color jersey sometime soon I dont mind the logo that much. I bought the black cap with the red logo on it and a t -shirt to match. But every time I see a Rockets jersey I can't seem to make myself buy one. Maybe cause every time I see someone with one on I laugh at em to myself....The replica jerseys look horrible
Why is this even being brought up again?!?!? The new jersey's look great and are unique to the NBA. I think the people who don't like the new jerseys don't like them just because they are stuck in the past. I could see the "blood trails" being dropped after a few years but the logo is great and so are the uniforms. The Rockets don't need a new look for another 10 to 15 years.
I like the new jerseys. My only complaint is the silver is more of a gray. I wish it was actually silver.
I like the new logo but the uniforms are terrible. The home whites are not as bad as the road reds, but they are both pretty weak. The shiny material they are using is terrible also. I think they need to find a happy medium between the "fancy" clown suits of years past and the "bland" current uniforms. A good start would be to make the small cheesy futuristic numbers larger and less futuristically cheesy.
Question... Would all you guys who hate our current uni's, would y'all rather have what we have now, or copy another team or teams like Utah and Memphis did? I like the fact we stand out from the rest of the league. Our uni's are simple yet bold, stylish yet not flashy. The font used for the chest is ugly, but I think the uni's are exactly what this team needs - a uniform that EVERYONE will instantly recognize and know it is the Rockets.
A black or Silver 3rd jersey would be nice. I too, wish it was more silver, right now, its grey. But its WAY better than the pin stripes, and it is easily recognised. And the logo isnt that good either, but atleast its not kiddish, or outdated *cough* San Antonio *cough*. A third jersey would be cool though. I was really dissapointed with the logo, but now I cant really see anything else that would fit. maG
No. The pajama were the ugliest uniforms. The old red/gold were ok. The currrent ones, although simple, are sharp.

I like the uniforms a lot. It would be dope if they added a little touch of yellow lining in several places.
I have been arguing since the Rockets drafted Ralph Sampson that the panel design on both the jerseys and shorts should be rocket-themed. And I don't like the shade of red. Nor do I like the sheen of the fabric. I feel better.
If anything, I could go simpler. I like the sheen. I like the silver. I like the blood, err - red. I don't like the font for "Rockets" too, so - just drop it. Put "Houston", there, instead. Slightly larger. Just a little R on the Left bottom corner. Shorts too. Don't put it on the side. And the number. Make the number larger. Tone down the whoosh stripes on the shorts. Less is more.
I don't know how you crack on the jerseys after seeing the T-Mac picture above. Simple but very distinctive. I don't argue necessarily with a little tweaking, but those calling for new uniforms a) won't be fulfilled in their desire because the uniforms are WAY too new for a change b) have too much time on their hands, as others have suggested.
