Don't know about you guys, this being in limbo as far as what is going to happen with the team stinks. Somebody toss me a tidbit! Anything, something to look forward to or be pissed about.

We sit back and let the rest of the world move and be productive. This is a dumb topic because what else are we going to do while we wait for Dream?

Dumb topic? Don't respond. I didn't ask for your opinion anyway.

Actually I didn't. I asked for something to look forward to or to be pissed about as far as the Rockets go, not what somebody thought of my topic or my post. Didn't think I had to spell it out.

    It's the waiting game.

Making up trades is silly. There is no way that one can feasibly do that.

The only thing that is left is to wait on Hakeem.

But, I don't know about you, but I'm not holding my breath on him resigning. He just isn't the center this team needs. This team needs a center that does not want to be the first scoring option. It needs a center that will hustle back in and around and out of every play. I'm talking running back to get on offense not waltzing.

Houston has the perfect player to play center. It's Cato, problem with Cato is that his potential was hype over one pre season.

I guess veryone can play when the other guy doesn't care. Oops, I think we stumbled on to something Cato doesn't care for the last two whole seasons.

But could the Rockets develop Cato? Can cato develop himself?

The Rockets are the 8th seed in the incredably tough Western Conference next year. So, obviously, they are playing the Lakers in the first round. Marv Albert and Bill Walton gape over the perfection of the Lakers.
"If the Rockets just want a chance, they better hope that both Kobe and Shaq are ejected," Albert jokes, shaking his head.
"The Lakers are just invincible, just so well-rounded," crows Walton, obviously pleased with Los Angeles, who acheived a 69-13 record that season.

At the start of game one, everything goes as planned. Kobe has a somewhat off-night ("You can bet he'll be on fire tomorrow, Marv.") but Shaq just kills Cato, going off for 52 points, 26 rebounds, and 6 blocks. The Rockets are behind 90-68 at the end of three. They are led behind Cuttino Mobley, with 25 points. Steve has 18, and Mo has 13. Everyone on the Rockets have scored, but the Lakers have just been too much. Then, magic happens. Matt Bullard replaces Eddie Griffin, and It's Bullard Time. Remember that three-point explosion against the Spurs this year? Well, this is exactly what it reminds each Rocket fan of. Bull gets a "trifecta," and Stve, Cuttino and Mooch, recognizing that Bull's on fire. Keeps getting him the ball. He hits from everywhere. With Fox in his face, Walker in his face, Horry in his face, Kobe in his face. With 31 seconds left, the Rockets have cut the score to 107-111.
"What a comeback!" says Marv nervously. The Rockets have the ball.

"Matt Bullard...bringing it in at halfcourt. He gets it in to Mobley. Okay. Here we go. Mobley up the left wing. He throws it to Francis who is posting up against Hunter. Uh Oh! Anderson sets a blind side pick on Samaki Walker, Bullard around, Francis tosses him the BALL... OH MY GOODNESS! OH MY GOODNESS! 110-111! WOW! Matt Bullard has just hit his 11th three pointter! Okay, Lakers don't have a timeout. 25.6 seconds left. Oh boy. Samaki Walker brings it in on the baseline. Kobe's got it. He's bringing it up. 22 seconds. They get it to Shaq. They want to use time...he gets it to Fox, Fox back in to Shaq. -deep breath- 11seconds. Shaq is gonna power it in...goes up... And it's blocked by Francis!!! He keeps it in play. Shandon Anderson with the ball...It goes to Mobley...back to Francis, to Anderson Alley-OOP AND FRANCIS SLAMS IT! 2.3 SECONDS LEFT! It's in to Hunter...to Kobe...he hoists it up a halfcourt...

NO GOOD! THE HOUSTON ROCKETS STEAL GAME ONE IN L.A.!

NBA REVERSES GAME 1 OF HOUSTON-LOS ANGELES SERIES

NEW YORK (AP) -- NBA Commissioner David Stern, after meeting with NBA Executive Council members Michael Jordan, Bob Costas, and His Evil Dark Lordship Satan, announced today that Game 1 of the Rockets-Lakers series would be overturned.

The game, won by Houston 112-110, will be marked as a Los Angeles victory following the ruling.

"We really dint feel... like the Rockets should have won the game," Stern explained to reporters. "In the best interests of our league and its global expansion, we had to make sure Los Angeles maintained the advantage to which their home-court and television-market ratings entitle them."

Cato's contract expires in 5 years. That should give you something to look forward to & be pissed about at the same time. [IMG]
