It's possible.

Possible we'll get a real clear picture of what MAGA Republicans are all about and Americans will say enough is enough, too.

 

I'm not convinced that MAGA republican will take his place. Why the hell would Republicans agree to this going into election season? I think there is going to be heavy infighting, but someone will be smart enough to work with the democrats on this, which is why democrats do have some leverage here. Kevin should have agreed to something with them.

as entertaining as it is to see the GOP continue to burn as a result of falling under the control of nutjobs and MAGA maniacs, the dumpster fire the party is also hinders actual work that needs to be done and really hurts the country (well, moreso than the GOP policies in general usually do).

 

They only want one thing... To create havoc with the Government... They could care less about laws, rules or policies.. They only want to bring down the government...

Why would anyone want to be the speaker right now? It is a thankless job.

 

No MAGA Republican would vote or work with a speaker like that and it’s not clear who in the Republican Party currently could cobble a coalition like that.

My own guess is that McCarthy will make
Some other concessions and get back the speakership along the same lines as we had it before. We also likely ends up back here in a few months.

 

I’m also guessing the Democrats are maneuvering to see if they can actually get Jeffries as speaker. All they need is to get 5 Republicans to vote present.

 

This speaker seemed pretty reasonable. We need to vote out the maggots that voted against him.

Yep, as long as Republican voters continue to support Trump and the MAGA extremists, the reasonable members of the Republican party are held hostage. They might want to consider crossing the aisle and partnering with reasonable Democrats.

Liz Cheney is even more hated among Republicans than McCarthy.
