You should have asked him some questions about the hakeem issue and maybe even taken a few pics.

    Outback? Good diet?

RRG, you can't go to Outback without ordering a Bloomin Onion. And it's not exactly the healthieest thing you can eat.

I hope he was having fun. I hope he left a tip. [IMG] [IMG]

As if Eddie isnt getting enough BULL already.

Holy COW! why is Eddie eating there?

Eating meat will STEER him in the right direction.

He should TRY TIPPing the ball more on offensive rebounds.

Its not like his Health is at STEAK .

[IMG] ok, ok, I'll stop .

Surely if we want him to put weight on (as fans) then eating at a Steakery is a great idea?? I mean the more red meat the better as far as getting the diet right to put on more muscle (asuming one exercises after eating the meat) - get Eddie down there every night!

Hey Doc, as I understand it, the avg. human body can only digest roughly 8grams of protein per day (that is protein excluding water). Any excess protein that the body intakes is automatically converted to fat. So say in Griff's case he can take in about 14grams....he can probably get all he needs out of just one of em Outback steaks....so no need for any red meat 6times-a-day diet right now!

He means that you can eat a certain amount of protein per day without drinking any water - if one eats a lot of protein and drinks very little poison one will end up with a form of poisoning (of which I forget the name) - hence the danger of the protein diet.
HOWEVER, the protein diet does exist and a lot of people take the risk simply because it can help them to lose a lot of weight in a hurry - eating a lot of red meat (and exercising) can be a way of putting on muscle mass rapidly (or gaining a lot of FAT if one doesn't exercise [IMG] )

In the interests of..well...us, I totally support going up to players/execs when you meet them in the street, ect. and asking them questions on the extreme off chance that they'll offer up more than the usual.."happy to be here...gonna give it 110%...have improvements to make, but with consistent effort I feel that I can really contribute, etc...."

However, having said that, I happen to know that the one thing that bothers celebrities more than anything else is not being able to sit down, relax, and eat a meal in a restaurant without a bunch of fans coming up and asking questions, for autographs, to take pictures, etc...With that in mind, I totally support your decision to not invade his meal..I mean, I know that these guys make millions, and fame comes with it's price, but let's at least let these guys eat their dinner in peace...

You should have approached him, sat down at his table, and cut his food for him.

Protein diets are insane. Eddie weighs 220pnds so he must eat 220grams of protein to put on muscle without taking years to grow. A steak the size of your palm has about 40grams.

Try fitting THAT into your routine without chowing down on protein powder. Oh yeah, and let's not forget that you can't have caffeine!

No, Doc...actually the only thing I was saying abt water was when you factor a certain weight of protein, it is excluding the water that would normally bind the protein molecules. So in laymen's terms what would be done is to dehydrate the water off. See, a piece of steak contains a significant percentage of water (just like human flesh/muscle), so I was only trying to distinguish b/t eating 8grams of protein, as opposed to 8 grams of steak (which wouldnt be very much).
