I honestly think if you swapped Mahomes and Watson on draft night the chiefs still win a Super Bowl and we would still have sucked..
No. Talent wise, I agree somewhat, but here's the problem... Watson's proclivities were not exacerbated by geography. Houston didn't make him a serial sexual predator. That was already in him. No one knew it. No one could see it coming. But, it's true. And if you don't believe those proclivities and the resulting consequences of such have effected his career trajectory, then will have to just agree to disagree. Watson in KC would've resulted in a much more truncated version of the Red Nation.
I remember one year you guys were 12-4 am I right? I also remember you guys had a 10-6 team and that 10-6 team was very underrated and even better than the 12-4 team.
With an arrogant, overly-empowered blowhard as a head coach. Agreed. Our sights are set higher than "decent". Why shouldn't they be?
I'm sure Wisconsin isn't aiming for "decent", and they shouldn't be. GB has touched the pinnacle. We want some ZZ Top. I'm just looking for some touch!
Don’t you need to be able to play under center in this offense? Can BY do that, I haven’t paid close enough attention.
I'll say this in defense of Young -- the Panthers are doing him no favors. I can't believe they traded away DJ Moore. Defenses are essentially blitzing and crowding the line, knowing that the Panthers have no real deep threat.
Young doesn't even look bad. What he is showing in his first few starts is still a massive upgrade over a Davis Mills level QB in terms of ceiling. The fact that it still looks like a massive draft error in drafting Bryce over Stroud just shows how historical Stroud has played up to this point. Like we would be content with Bryce Young level production now if we didn't know CJ Stroud was going to be generational.
What has he shown? Every time I watch him (which hasn’t been much), he looks really bad. In three games, he’s thrown for 500 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 ints, for a QB rating of 25 (33rd among QBs).
That fumble play is funny to watch. BY had a moment chasing the play where it looked like he seriously considered trying to make the tackle if he could...then he kind of pealed off. Defensive players love to "block" the QB into oblivion on turnovers and if anyone ever did that to Young I'm not sure he would get up.
