I wanted Young, I like Debs Texans takes but thought she was wrong about the "short QB" but yea she was so right,... but even fans wanting CJ - absolutely no one saw this- we keep talking about the fact he didn't take any sacks not especially because of the offensive line, but CJ was making quick reaction decisions- 306 yards, 2 TDs over 111 QBR is NOT designed to happen against pass rushers like Watt and HighSmith... how about Nico Collins? Most thought only a couple months ago that he was trash. Now he's one of the best wide receivers in the league- i'm actually very comfortable with our wide receiver group, and if anybody said that only a couple months ago, they were crazy- a lot of good things are happening because of our quarterback, and I can't imagine what it would've been like if we taken a different quarterback, and then we would see CJ Stroud doing this in our faces... CJ is doing things as a rookie that only two other rookie quarterbacks have done a quarter way into the season in NFL history : Andrew Luck and Cam Newton - a lot of credit needs to go to the whole team and to the coaching obviously but wow what a superstar that we have in the making right now

Turns out Deshaun Watson being a scumbag on the low was a great thing for us. The future is bright with this kid and Wiil.

CJ is amazing in press conferences, dude carries around Tony Robbins like energy always remembering to acknowledge the work of the team. Calling out guys individually, he’s super easy to root for.

Let's pour one out for the S2 test lol.

I doubt scouts will put much into it after this season.

Against everything in me that is pro-Bryce Young, Texans made the right choice by a mile..

I’ve noticed that also. He just always says the right thing and seems completely sincere.

One knock on Stroud coming in was "He has so many weapons."

No one seemed to consider that Stroud was making WRs job a lot easier.

Look at a lot of these catches, little effort needs to be made for this one for example. Most of them right in the zone for a guy to not only make an easy catch but get YAC.

Link on the Caserio thing? I thought the Texans said they didn’t even use that test in evaluation.

Stroud was somewhat inaccurate (compared to his normal) in the first half. Then he comes out with a throw like that one to Nico. It looked effortless. Barely flicked his wrist. It was a perfect pass. Just beautiful. National media, and those YouTube videos we all are growing to love, will be drooling over that throw.

    Yeah, the kid is legit.
I was wrong about him, I’ll happily eat crow.

His poise, anticipation and accuracy are big league. The arm is pure.
Genuinely excited about the team now.

What if they cooked crow wrong? Maybe it tastes better grilled. Some people find alligator good maybe crow is an acquired taste. Feeling like crow gets a bad rep.

You'd have to do it coq au vin style (rooster with wine in French) and even then I'm highly dubious.

Pretty sure there's a reason that saying's been around for a couple of hundred years.

This is why I don't marry the idea of a prospect pre-draft. We end up fighting our previous attachments a lot on this board

To be fair, I was a fanboy when he first burst on the scene at Alabama.. May have been blinded during the draft process, but I legitimately thought the Texans missed a chance to galvanize the city with the Loviegate win.. Totally wrong about that but I'm still 100% team Bryce.. Too much attention investing in him lol
