Why would Kansas have gotten the ball close to midfield? Run a regular drive, like you've done all game, if it stalls out you punt.
Texas was around the 25 to start that drive with around 2 minutes. 2 runs with minimal gain, then a chunk play to convert the 3rd down and now there's 35 secs left. That's when a timeout should've been called. Better to let the clock run down on the earlier two runs in case it was a 3 and out. Honestly, I don't expect many college kickers to consistently hit over 40+ yds. Auburn has been better than average, but he's no Dicker or Tucker.
I get it, but there was no reason, starting with the first plays, to go conservative turtle. They've moved the ball at will all game.
Acceptable win...gives the coaches a bunch of stuff to ride their asses and work on in practice this week.
No and maybe? Weirdly for a season, I know absolutely nothing about them, couldn't name 2 players. Time for a crash-course.
Hoping for a close UT victory so there will be no letdowns the following weeks.. "Stay sharp"- Captain America
Looking at OU's schedule..... Big time shift in competition. UT has already been tested. UT should win this one today.
Glad I turned on Gameday when I did, McConaughey was great. Queso is ready. Fajitas are marinated. Beer is cold. My body is ready for sports today.
