Why do you worry about Harden, dude is a primadonna, an honest soul would not care where he lands. He can go to hell if it were up to me.
Because i care about the landscape of the NBA and competitive levels. Harden nuking Philly takes away a contender. Another must be made in place of them. Because no matter how much i disliked Hardens play style, and lack of defensive effort, he's a Rockets legend and i want to see him succeed. Because i still think he can carry a team in his own style, even if im not a fan of that style. Because i hate that Dame got a pass for his defensive liability while Harden was turned into a laughing stock and because i think Harden is a tier above Dame in terms of being able to carry a team to success. I want Harden to have one more shot to prove that, or at the least work things out in Philly so Embiid and Harden beat Giannis and Dame even though Giannis is my favorite of those 4, but i lowkey want Giannis to have a reason to leave so he comes to Houston to work w/ Hakeem full time.
Ok. I can agree on the NBA landscape and power shifting part. But if I am being honest and I am, Harden is just a 2nd option and a reluctantly decent one at that. I am not too worried at all. Success in winning a title, I think Jrue Holiday has a better chance at title Number 2 than Harden at Title Numbr 1. His skills do age well but not his stamina and body type.
From the moment Lillard requested a trade from the Blazers on July 1, he informed the team that he wanted a deal specifically to the Eastern Conference champion Heat, sources briefed on those talks say. Lillard believed he gave the Blazers loyalty over 11 seasons and wanted the franchise to move him to his preferred landing spot. The Blazers and Heat had multiple conversations in July, but the sides never engaged in substantive negotiations, according to those sources. In an initial call, the Blazers asked the Heat for Jimmy Butler or Bam Adebayo. The Heat came to believe that the Blazers had little to no interest in engaging in a deal with them, and as much as Lillard and Goodwin wished that the Blazers would attempt to satisfy the seven-time All-Star’s wish, Portland refused. As the summer progressed, Lillard wanted the Blazers to simply try to find a deal with Miami, but those wishes, in his mind, also went unfulfilled. It's funny how players think since they have been "loyal" to a franchise for x years, they are entitled to demand their teams to send them to their preferred destinations at all cost. It's like when a guy dumps his gf for a more attractive woman and asks the gf to give him everything she has so that he can enjoy the next relationship because he has been loyal to her for the last 11 years.
Haha except NBA players should treat it more as a business...... I think more women used to think like that than guys, that I have been married for 11 years and given you my youth and my best appearance, you ought to give me my stake in the enterprise, a large chunk of money..... Portland was willing to play ball actually, Miami just did not offer something great......
I feel the same way if anything Milwaukee got worse on defense and got better on offense obviously so I don't know how much better they are without having someone like Jrue who's a two way player
You care about Harden way too much. I was one of his biggest supporters while he was here. But now, he's shown who he is and while I wish him well, it doesn't surprise me that things have turned out the way they have in his career.
@VoR One of the "talented" players they acquired. Didn't even make it to camp before they threw some trash away
