Justice is probably ok, the real problem is the lack of another Houston daily. Anyone here remember the Houston Post? There is no reason a city of this size should have only one paper. The columnists and reporters would be much more aggresive with a little competition.
Sure, I remember the Post, and the Houston Press... not the weekly, but the afternoon newspaper that the Chronicle bought out. My parents always took the Post and the Press. We never subscribed to the Chronicle until the Press was devoured. My folks just didn't like it. There will never be another successful daily in Houston, sadly. The competition for the Chronicle will come from things like the internet. I read several papers on the net... the Chronicle is just one of them.
I have no problem with the fact that his articles are controversial. My problem with Dick Justice is that he is an absolute idiot. Again, Derek Fisher for the max? Chris Duhon at starting point guard? Please make it stop.
