Don't like our lineup. Diaz and McCormick (may be sore) need to be in it. This could be the season.

 

Chas says he is healthy... but Dusty is on record saying he always gives players one extra day of rest after saying they are healthy.

This is why I said the org, Brown was a bad hire and every move they made previous to Brown was also bad..... Every single move has been a negative on this team. Not a single move made The Astros better. Its not surprising they are in this position after so many poor decisions.

 

Does Abreu ever get the flu? Dusty is probably trotting him out there while he’s sick or hurt.

Blue Jays lose again

 

One of the many things you don't consider is, if Diaz is playing catcher instead of DH, not only does his offense increase dramatically, but the Astros could very likely replace his .600 OPS at DH with a more productive player at DH. Chas is hitting 1.181 at DH this season, 1.000 last year, and .833 his rookie season. Small sample size, true, but surely Dusty knows the stats regardless, right. He used stats to justify Singleton PH'ing over Chas hitting vs NYY. Surely he knows the stats. Stats. Stats. Stats. Singleton doesn't have any long-term numbers to equate anything, especially considering this context.

Dusty's premise of "Maldy must play" has a domino effect of 5+ situations. And none of those situations coincide with victories.

I can name those 5+ if you want.....
