Yes. I don't know how anyone could stomach that disgusting condiment. Look at that stuff, it's revolting.
I randomly went to a vegan Korean restaurant in NYC this weekend and it was fantastic. It was four courses with mushrooms as the theme. A+. Picky eaters don’t know what they’re missing out on.
That's the funny thing with Western Vegetarianism. There's a billion or two (lacto-ovo?) vegetarians who have more or less thrived for a thousand years but somehow products like seitan or those tasteless rice pucks line up the product shelves. Beyond meat is good for what it is until you read what it really is. Call me picky, but it should be a crime to call salad a vegetarian option... In a similar rant, it must be cursed to have a great sense of smell/taste but to also have a preference for the same or repeatable meals. The US is great for trying out different foods and the restaurant goes out of the way to Americanize the taste. An embarrassment of riches wasted...
Exactly, also agree on condiments, like don't get me wrong love mustard/ketchup but if it's a good flavor/good quality burger I might go light/ not at all, I don't want it overpowering a burger, especially with caramelized onions and other cool tasting stuff. Obviously at some cheap fast food spot, w/e but at decent spot I'll usually eat as they serve it. It's similar when you see someone get some super amazing steak and then order it beyond well done and drown it in A1.... Might as well just order a cheap cut of steak/scorch it and use a bottle of A1. I will say on mayo... I do have an acquired taste for blue cheese... And I believe some dressing like that can be partially mayo based, I don't know what it is, but doesn't count the same as mayo to me, I think because parents started me on it really young, especially on certain combinations of burgers or even hot wings, I won't overdo it w/ wings but that's my huge exception on mayo, probably because it doesn't remind me of mayo for some reason but I guess growing up with it in place of. Ranch, I don't know, I can't explain it. I also don't eat ranch much unless certain prep dish that had a bit already, but definitely not adding to pizza ever/drowning everything with it. Might as well pull A1 with streak move similar to Pizza/ranch. Don't get me wrong I don't hate A1 but I'm not putting it on a properly prepared steak. Also, definitely agree with you on sushi, no thanks on spicy mayo, I'd rather just use some standard wasabi depending how it's prepared etc. Ie depending on spot small amount might already there, so not going to overpower it w/ more etc.. Occasionally I'll add a little, but if it's a good spot probably not. I don't order sushi often but when I do it's not with spicy mayo, that's for sure, haha.
Most Thai places I've been will give you a choice of 1-4 for heat. I ask for 7. I've seen them watch me eat it to see my reaction. Slaps just enough.
The Indian restaurant down the road from me Dosa Grill, has the hottest chicken Vendaloo I have ever had. I know it's not Thai. But nose drippin good tasting food is the best.
Oh, it's you guys lol Look, it's irresponsible for a kitchen to serve this to you. We made some spicy foods, wings especially and someone always had to pop off. Chef had this on hand Amazon.com : Mad Dog 357 ECO 1 Million Scoville Ultra Pure Pepper Extract : Grocery & Gourmet Food and it was truly unpleasant to smell, let alone eat. In fact, one of my favorite stories to tell is how the bozo dishwasher accidentally knocked it off the shelf and gassed the kitchen. We had to shut down for 30 minutes to clean it out because we literally could not breathe the air. Anyway, 100% of the people who said it wasn't hot enough got got. That was like 3-4 drops on a 6er of wings. It's basically poison. So my challenge to you gentlemen is to dose up some wings with this sauce, make a video of you definitely not crying or asking for milk and bread. 1 million scoville not enough? Here's 3 mil Amazon.com : Mad Dog 357 Hot Sauce, Made with 3 Million Scoville Pepper Extract, 357,000 Scoville, 5 oz. : Grocery & Gourmet Food How about 6?
