I'm not watching that, but do you ever roast veggies in the oven? It's so simple. Broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, peppers, tomatoes, etc...
Nothing personal, I don't watch youtube/tok/facespace videos, unless there's bands and music involved, or clips from tv/movies I'd much rather read an article about the subject.
I brought this up here before but an easy hack is to roast veggies in a toaster oven or air fryer. Just cut up some Veggies so they fit in the tray and sprinkle with olive oil, salt pepper or other seasoning and then you can just set on toast for a few minutes and they are good.
Disagree, I love me some sauerbraten, red cabbage and potato pancakes. not to mention: Spätzle Pork or chicken schnitzel and Apfelkuchen. They are also the best at the "Wurst"
One of the things I miss the most about TEXAs is the rando vans that used to sell barbacoa tamales. And, buying fresh shrimp of the pier in Kemah from boats just coming back.
Does this apply to Miracle Whip as well? when I moved to New York saying I preferred Miracle Whip was like having a Scarlet Letter on my lapel. Things I miss about Texas, Grocery wise: Trappy's black eyed peas and jalapeno's Any type of pickled okra BIG RED Blue Bell Ro-Tel Zataran's Crab Boil ANY GOOD BEEF JERKEY
About 10 years ago I brought a group of Minnesota students down to Surfside to work on Hurricane recovery. In appreciation one night the residents of Surfside did a traditional seafood boil with blue crabs and shrimp. The seafood went from the boat to the pot in less than an hour. It was one of the best meals I ever ate. Part of it due to that most of the Minnesotans had never seen whole crab or shrimp and had no clue how to eat them.
Oh don't get me wrong, I absolutely love food from that part of Europe, it's just not the most adventurous cuisine on earth. Do you like pork, potatoes, cabbage, mushrooms? You're golden.
Nothing better than fresh seafood. I hope they enjoyed it. If not, they can take their yankee asses back up north.
The hell is wrong with you? Miracle Whip is straight nasty. I'm no big fan of mayo, but it has its uses. Kewpie or Duke's is the way to go.
Not the biggest fan of Mayo either but it has its place in dishes. It's just when it's used as a cop out and people smear it all over a meal and act like it isn't similar to that one person that dips their pizza in ranch dipping sauce where the only thing they're actually tasting is just the ranch dipping sauce. Mayo is fatty and fat soluble mediums are great at absorbing flavor but if your solution to anything is to just cake a meal with mayo then that's ****ing disgusting. Like what's up with mixing spicy mayo and sushi rolls? That's a big red flag if I see that on a menu. Lately when ordering a burger, I tend to skip out on mustard, mayo and ketchup. Request that they caramelize onions and go heavy on the onions and that seems to be enough. You can actually taste the quality of the beef then.
Oh man, good job! I didn't do it this summer, it was just too damn hot, but I've made many a 3 day mid-week trip from the Hill Country to Rockport/Port A or Palacios, beach condo, beach bum it, do a little fishing or surfing, hit the docks & seafood markets to load up the coolers the day I'm heading back. Every time I cook crabs around here I have to do a refresher course and show people how to clean them. Once you get it down you can tear through them.
