Altuve w/ his patented swinging at ball 4 ft outside the zone... it's the supposed captains/vets that are failing this team the most
My first point was this team has no fight to make the playoffs right now. Yes the Manager matters, but that amount blasse cannot be put on 1 person. I would think a team with this level of experience and prior self-motivation would need that in later stages of the season like in the playoffs. Not now. I fully agree with all your comments about Dusty. But there are managers who lose 90-100 games every year with good players. To me, that is garbage tier. I was disagreeing with the level of disparagement not the fact that Dusty warrants disparaging.
Dusty was tired of all the fans asking him to pinch hit a .861 OPS guy for the .601 OPS guy he always starts....so he thought they might like it if he chose to pinch hit a .648 OPS guy for the .682 OPS guy he decided to start. He thought the message fans were trying to send to him was that you should always pinch hit.
And Maton had an amazing start to the year and stranded every runner he inherited, until about June 1 when he started letting every inherited runner score. Once Dusty gets something in his big dumb head, though, it’s there to stay.
And Altuve swings at one off the plate That's putting it mildly, Kalas. Catcher almost couldn't catch it it was so off the plate. Singleton and Jose both K-swinging at balls
Definitely. I really need someone to ask him why he chose Singleton after the game, and I really want to hear his explanation.
