Yeah, 29 years old and switching teams for the first time, I mean Freddie is a good guy but it is not like his career is going uphill from now on.
I remember how hyped the board was regarding Malick Badiane. Lol. Scott Machado, holy **** there is a name I haven't heard in a while.
Obviously this has to be totally untrue because Bobby and DD have argued for some time that incident was no big deal.......
One of the worst takes I've ever seen on this site, and I was here for the entire run of BasketballHolic's CF career. Absolutely no part of that makes any sense whatsoever.
The shitty thing is that they never ****ing said that at the time. It was reported as nowhere near as serious as that, so there's a lot of people complicit in covering for KPJ being an *******.
Guilty as charged, but in my defense, it was because I saw him in one game at the Long Beach Summer League where he looked great. Also in my defense, I took the L once it became apparent that one game was a fluke. I honestly don't understand certain (*ahem*) posters here feeling the need to show in post after post how they weren't really wrong, and that others just don't get it. Weird.
Lol okay guy. Respectfully, you can’t evaluate talent if you don’t think KpJ has special talent — and not just some “he’s as good as the 465th guy in the league.” He didn’t fool anyone. He is that good. He’s just crazy too and didn’t have the best coaching/system.
Wrong. This delusional special talent that you try to make up. He literally doesn’t even have one. But you’re one of the those I referenced so clearly you’re lost
Yes and yes. You do not lose your tongue or your heart admitting you were wrong...... there is not much face to save.
LOL @ these after the fact “reports”. He can be a total POS without having to make **** up or this after the fact reporting. He did this to a DJ, he did this to Lucas, he did this, this and this and that and we didn’t report it at the time (for reasons unknown? Apparently not a big deal at the time?) but it’s totally a big deal now! “I didn’t have it confirmed then but but but I do now!” “Out of respect for KPJ, I didn’t report it at the time (but it absolutely happened)!” “Now that he’s gone, I can leak these stories!” Rockets titter trying to get Stone fired? “He enabled this criminal! Not only did he enable him, he covered it up! He is responsible for this girl getting assaulted!” Next you’re gonna tell me he punched Felicia Stone while Rafael watched and encouraged him. Or he assaulted Tilman’s daughter. Or the punched the team bus driver. Or attempted to smack the smile off Silas face, in which Silas put him in the starting lineup the next game.
Not to mention that every single one of us who has posted for 2+ decades has been wrong on many occasions. There's no shame in that, unless you try to pretend you weren't.
I think that 50-point game had a lot to do with how his talent was perceived. This is why I was genuinely worried about Dillon Brooks' 39-point game at the WC semi final. The funny thing is, Corey Brewer also has a 50-point game in his resume, ironically against the Rockets in the Toyota Center.
