KPj is a sociopath and a manipulator. And like most sociopaths, didn't know when to quit. Looking at his little Udoka press conference showing and Tilman's praise for him....it's likely that he was doing the right things with the right people while bullying others. He apparently brainwashed members in CF as well. I still think more of it stemmed from them wanting Mobley and thinking Jalen was redundant with KPj than them actually believing KPj was talented in any way. They really just wanted to believe KPj was better than Green. The ultimate irony about all of this was that KPj was likely the reason Mobley wanted no part of the Rockets to begin with.

I am enamored with @a time to chill ’s YouTube channel now. I was blown away when I saw 16k subscribers. But he is providing his followers with content. 4K+ videos! Dude is prolific. I think he hypnotizes people to get them to subscribe. I know I was entranced.

Only because of this incident, if it never happened, he was still a good solid NBA player - I was hoping to see him continue to mature under tough love Ime - but he blew up and here we are......now he is out, there is no turning back.

You are too big on stats man. You also have the same feelings towards Christian Wood. KPJ is not a good basketball player. Sure, he is talented, but that doesn't mean a whole lot if you can't use your brain to play basketball.

There was lack of effort, a very selfish style of ball (he was not Harden to be given so much liberty), didn't like moving off the ball, didn't like playing defense. KPJ was just a flawed player. Sure he was athletic, could do some pretty stepbacks from time to time, could find the open man from time to time, but overall was awful at making the right reads.

You can blame his teammates all you want, but KPJ played a selfish style of basketball and he would visibly pout when things weren't done his way.

    You cannot quit this guy.

He is talented but solid he is not, he cannot even help the team to more wins than Eric Gordon who was 34.

Ego, Garrison Mathews etc could string a few games and won them.

I remember saying he was only there to save his starting spot. Ofcourse I was met with "KPJ hater" chants but I bet it was true.

They could probably do so without leading the league in turnovers and pouting about not getting the ball fast enough as well. I never got the love for KPJ. That first season he put up that 50 point game and that was it that was the highlight.

The inability to change your point of view with new information is the downfall of many "leaders"

Yeah I am a bit disturbed by all the lip service done by KPJ claiming that the Rockets literally saved his life and all that, only to continue to go out of line behind the scenes.

I never believed it that much but it is easy for me to say now.

I thought he meant it as a genuine appreciation for the Rockets but not as really saving his life.

I thought he was damaged goods still but did not see him as psycho back then.

I think Stone is just showing how much of a rookie he is in the GM game. He wanted to make this big splash of rehabbing KPJ into the next Harden. When it was obvious both on and off the court KPJ is not it, he refuses to let go. Deep in his heart he knew he should have cut ties a year back, why else would he give KPJ such a weird non-guaranteed contract.

You can't GM by wishful thinking and delusion, sometimes you just have to cut the cord and move on. Stone's 3 years with us has been just been nothing but indecisiveness, there was absolutely no reason why held on to EG for that long and only to get pennies in return, same goes for letting John Wall rot. Just a ton of p***y footing and not pulling the trigger.

Right KPJ's contract is proof that he knew something was wrong and he was hoping the contract would be incentive enough for him to keep in line.

    It’s Fox so TIFWIW

    https://www.foxnews.com/us/major-detail-rockets-kevin-porter-jr-assault-case-wrong-source

Houston Rockets guard Kevin Porter Jr. is accused of attacking girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick in a New York City hotel room earlier this week, but her attorney told Fox News Digital the allegations aren't accurate.

"Statements that were attributed to her were not her words," said Gondrezick's lawyer, Robert Hantman, referring to a criminal complaint. "She says he didn’t strike her repeatedly. He’s a big guy. If he hit her repeatedly, she’d have a broken jaw."

The criminal complaint alleges Gondrezick suffered a "fractured vertebrae" in her spine.

But Gondrezick, a former WNBA player, actually has a congenital defect that was mistaken for a cracked vertebra, according to a source and information reviewed by Fox News Digital.

"This was a condition she was born with that had little effect on her and was not a result of fresh trauma," said forensic pathologist Michael Baden, who reviewed the information.

Porter is charged with second-degree assault for the neck fracture, which he didn't appear to cause, second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault.

The Manhattan District Attorney's Office declined to comment on whether it intended to drop the most serious assault charge.

Gondrezick's attorney said his client was particularly frustrated the complaint says she reported that Porter choked her so hard that she had difficulty breathing.

"According to her, she wasn’t being strangled. That was an exaggeration," Hantman said. "She doesn’t want the public to think that what was said by the government were her words."

Gondrezick hasn't spoken to the district attorney's office yet, according to her lawyer.

"It was too traumatized and exaggerated because of who he is, but she’s not minimizing what happened," Hantman added.

The attorney doesn't know why the pair began to fight. They had been out that night together, and she returned to the hotel room before him.

“He didn't have a key, and security let him in”, Hantman said.

"There was an altercation, which was over very fast. Everything happened very fast," he told Fox News Digital.

"One thing I learned over many years of working on these cases is not to assume anything here and not just rely on headlines," he told reporters.

That sounded surreal from Fox News and from her lawyer.

    • The vertebrae fracture is congenital.......not done by Porter.
    • She also was not being strangled or lightly strangled?
    • She admitted being hit in the face and had that gash over her eyes
    • The fight was not vigorous and ended swiftly.

Someone is lying? Someone is mental.

Can you even mistake a cracked vertebrae, are those doctors fake?
