He's just having his usual fun.

But I think @Os Trigonum is on the ship, or more like a floating sinking log, that believes warming can be good.

I know lots of people who've taken road trips with their tesla. Would I do it? No. But they didn't run into any issues. If you don't mind the inconveniences associated with it, I don't see what the big deal is.

I made a road trip to Delaware and New Jersey this Summer that would not have been possible with an electric vehicle. But 99% of the time, electric would be just fine for day trips and work driving. And I am getting too old to enjoy driving 6+ hours in a go.
Electric won't make sense for long hauls until fast charging can match the time it takes to pump 10-20 gallons of gasoline.

How else will the Republicans own the Libtards? It's a huge deal.

I wouldn't go so far as to say the EV is only good as a second vehicle.

What I would say is that it really depends upon the location and needs of the individual whether or not an EV is right for them.

If you are in a small town or a rural location or have to drive long distances, the EV is defiantly not for you.

But on the other hand, if you are in an area with plenty of infrastructure in place and or don't drive a whole lot of miles, an EV may be a good option.
You think of the typical suburban driver who goes relatively short distances to get to the majority of places they frequent .... and an EV is suitable for those people.

Not so much for the person who is driving long distances or lives in a place without the infrastructure.
Read something years ago that stuck with me about how we purchase vehicles - we buy a vehicle not for what we need every day but for what we might need on a rare occasion. We're buying big ass SUV's and driving 3-5 miles alone to school, work, grocery store, gym. Maybe a few times a year we actually use their capacity .... take a look around the next time you are out in traffic.

Something else that's kinda odd to me is that many auto makers are phasing out coupes - smaller cars and doubling down on SUV's and crossovers.
Cadillac discontinued their coupe in 2019, Mercedes is chopping theirs next year. Hyundai discontinued the Genesis in 2016. Nissan dropped the Altima coupe in 2013, Infinity is dropping their coupe after this model year, Honda no longer makes coupe as of 2020. Dodge is doing away with the Challenger coupe after the 2023 year model. Chevrolet will discontinue the Camaro after the 2024 model year.
Yet when we get right down to it, more of these smaller more efficient models would be beneficial.
The options for those smaller, sporty vehicles are limited to a few models or those that are out of reach financially for most people.

Regardless, it doesn't raise faith in Granholm as Secretary of Energy.
