This thread reached 1,441 posts in a span of a couple of days. Now we are arguing about Paul Pelosi. No one works.

You can tell how Bobby feels by the sentence "something finally happened to ruin his career". Not "He ruined his careeer." It is classic Bobby. Something "happened" to KPJ. KPJ didn't cause this all by himself. Bobby is the Corey Brwer of posters.

I agree. The CBA is clear imo. Rockets can waive him independent of any investigation or outcome, at any time.

What we are hearing instead, without it actually being stated in the CBA, is that the rockets can’t cut him, yet.

    I call bs on that.

To me, that’s just Tilman trying to see if the league will dismiss/disqualify (those are CBA words) him first, so we get out of his contract. And I wouldn’t doubt the league is allowing the media to spread that interpretation to help the team save face. If you waive now, instead, rules are he goes on the waiver wire, and once cleared, then the contract is terminated and all guaranteed money gets locked in as due.

one thing is for sure, we could just go public and announce we are terminating his contract, and force the NBA to intercede, with some PR bullshjt saying “hey, wait … you will eventually be able to cut him, just not yet.”

Whatever action that prevents a attempted murderer of a significant other receiving 16 million dollars is the route I prefer. Waiving him a week from now compared to today or tomorrow is a technicality. He is getting waived. He isn't playing another game for the Rockets. I'm 99.9% sure about that. But one thing I want to make sure is that the Rockets make sure they do things in a way that prevents them from paying KPJ's salary for this upcoming season.

Like you know how the Grizzlies made it known that Dillon Brooks would not be back, just for kind of being annoying? They should do that, but you know way more emphatically!

Like, at some point you have to stop hiding behind the labor lawyers and start listening to the PR people. (or just plain old common freaking sense

The chance that the Rockets act too hastily and somehow have to pay KPJ more as a result - given the circumstances - are extremely remote.

Cut ties, now. It's already later than it should be, but just do it already.

If that's the case, I have absolutely no problem with the Rockets waiting for that decision. It just makes good business sense. If they can cut him without losing $14.5M or whatever, then why not? Either way he's going to get cut eventually, and I doubt he sniffs the NBA ever again.

Do not forget the NBPA, they harbored enough bad oranges throughout time.

Also we shouldn't have to pay a attempted murderer 16 million bucks.

It's just about to hit 1am over here so I'm off to bed.

I cannot wait to get up in the morning to hopefully see this thread grow another 20-30 odd pages.

The past two mornings waking up and basking in this thread has been glorious.

Don't you love it when the bad (or in this case, absolute scum of the earth) guys lose.

Oh if only I knew then - when I made my profile picture - what I know now.

yup the rockets got better by having a glorified loser removed from the team. the usual kpj stans, they know who they are, that have been riding his nuts for years who were pounding their chest about how he's a future star and how much hes matured. All the other stuff didn't matter. but but but. Ridiculing everyone who brought up valid concerns on his lengthy track record. What would be great is if these same kpj stans would leave and go away just like kpj is on the verge of doing. I'd laugh in each one of these losers face if given the chance

This "purely physical attraction" qualifier isn't doing the work you think it is. I'm in my 30s and my prime target for "purely physical attraction" is still not 14-18 year old girls. That's weird as hell dude. It's not the default state of an adult.

As long as KPJ never puts on a Rockets uniform again I'm fine with seeing if we can get his contract voided first and exploring that with the league. It would be great to have an immediate public statement condemning his actions and waiving him, but there is still unfortunately a business component to this. I have a feeling this will be resolved sooner rather than later anyway.

You know what. I'm just not going to attempt to defend myself anymore. If you want to take away that from me without even reading the entire context of why I brought that up and the tone then that's up to you. I don't think anyone here is going to effect my my real life.
