You remember the Yes Way Jose shirts ? (Altuve) Well, no need to strike through the No with this Jose as this is your classic No Way Jose. I mean a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then...but other than that...ain't happening. The only thing tighter than Abreu in the batter's box is his goatee band.

Nope. According to @Hey Now! , because alternate scenarios where the better player outperfomed the worse player did not actually occur, it is impossible to consider them or blame the person who chose the worse player. It all worked out last year, absolutely nothing has changed in the meantime, and the manager shook hands with Hank Aaron. So just shut up and be happy.

    lol

and one of Maldanado hits he got thrown out on shitty baserunning

and you mention pitching, the only reason he plays is Johnnie thinks he makes the pitching better, even though NO numbers back it up

Quit slobbering johnnies knob and try to think rationally

Dusty’s remark to Chandler about Maldy not being PH in the 7th is so aggravating. Dumb and arrogant at the same time.

All you really need to say is that you're fine with Yainer catching for you, Justin.

Abreu has had a ton of hot and cold streaks, but this year, he has been terrible when he isn't hot. He hasn't had a good BB-K ratio (which, was never particularly a strength of his except in 2022). I don't know if his back is starting to act up again, but that can be a lingering issue. According to Baseball Savant, nearly all his offensive percentiles are down from 2021/22. I'm just hoping for the best, but it's time to drop him to 8th in lineup.

tell johnnie you want Chas or Meyers at CF and Yainer to catch, Verlander.

It's not that difficult. Martin and Dubon are big boi. They can understand.

These are questions the dusty fluffers can’t answer. They just say “well that’s what Dusty wants so you can’t change it” as if we could change anything else in baseball. They don’t think it looks obvious. They think they are fluffing Dusty under the table, undercover. Sadly, we all see it. It’s disgusting.

You still have a large number of people who believe that Maldonado plays because of his defense and pitch calling. Don't believe me? Just go to Minute Maid and ask random people sitting around you. It's mind-numbing how unplugged and stupid people really are when it comes to this stuff. And I don't expect everyone to be as informed about advanced stats as some of us here, but all you have to do is actually pay attention to the game in front of you to know that Maldonado literally brings nothing to this team anymore. Not on the field anyways.

The other thing I hear a lot is, "Well if the 1-8 guys were hitting the way they should, Maldy playing shouldn't be an issue." Well here's the thing: THEY AREN'T....ESPECIALLY NOT AT HOME. So because they aren't, why the hell wouldn't you regularly play the guy who hits well?? It makes no sense, and it's borderline sabotage at this point to not play Yainer at least 60% of the time at catcher. And that's not even getting into Chas needing to be the everyday CF, along with Brantley and Yordan platooning LF and DH.

We have 3 ****ing weeks left to play in this season, and we're clinging onto a playoff spot and THESE are the conversations we're having.
