Honestly you need to learn the difference between empathy and sympathy. It's always good for society to examine childhood trauma and how it effects adult behavior. That doesn't make their actions consequence free. It's just a practice in basic empathy.
Bro domestic violence is SERIOUS. Don't do moral grandstanding on this because someone before this incident was rooting for KPJ and from a distance thought he was changing.
There is hope for rehabilitation for someone who is trying to rehabilitate. he had issues before the nba, then issues in cleveland then issues here. just last year he left in the middle of a game. reports of him threatening coaches. screaming for the ball this past year. pouts and quits and has to be coddled on the sidelines over little things. You would have to be an idiot a troll or not paying attention/in denial to think he was getting better.
$75K bail is like a cheeseburger for him, what horrible bail laws Especially if he broke her back and choke her. @ROXRAN
Youre the one who has been moral grandstanding. "You cant gloat, what about the girl, poor me poor DD". You seem to think you have some power on the board that makes you able to create rules and gaslight while the rest of us just accept it. No thank you.
Hey is Esther you think someone is an idiot or naive than judging their moral character The only way I'd judge someone's moral character about this incident is if they are STILL defending his actions in terms of believing he still deserves a spot on the roster and deserves the charges being dropped. And no being empathetic to his upbringing isn't defending his actions also.
Bro, I literally spelled it out for you on my last response to you. If you want to play "gotcha" then by all means, the floor is all yours. I'm not sure how you're still confused but I'm out.
Its not understanding its scapegoating. Its enabling, its the type of attitude that allowed him to do this while in a Rockets uniform in the first place. WHICH IS WHY SO MANY OF US ARE...... "GLOATING" if you want to call it that. And youre still doing it lol You still haven't learned. People cheering that this wifebeater has been bail out. DD posting gleefully that KPJ may get off. You people are crazy.
I have no power. I just express my thoughts. Why would that imply that I think I have power here? I think people who are using this incident to shame people for defending KPJ before this incident is pretty shameful and in my opinion shows their hand in that they don't think the topic of domestic violence is serious. It's such a serious thing that I would always make sure to be cautious of accusing someone of defending ot or enabling it. But so many posters are using domestic abuse as willy nilly thing they can use to further their 3 year long personal grudges with pro-kpj defenders(before this incident)
You can say here's why it happened without justifying why it happened. He should have been getting mental health care years ago.
"PLay gotcha" No just telling the truth. "gloating" "play gotcha" you might as well say I know you guys are right but you shouldnt say it lol "I don't wanna admit I didn't see his obvious problems or I completely ignored them as nothing". "I liked his personality" ummm ok.
The guy is Ron Artest level nuts. That doesn't necessarily mean he's good or bad, just a broken person who needs help. Ignoring that is just going to make him do it again. He needs a mental institution and meds until he's safe to be in public. A light jail sentence is the worst thing for him and those around him. He's just going to keep behaving worse and worse.
Describing to you that I think KPJ is a complex individual with trauma, does not mean I'm making excuses for him or cheering for him. I LITERALLY said the Rockets should cut him, and that I don't condone that behavior. It seems like you need help brother and better reading comprehension.
how's he still on the roster? Spurs cut Primo before anything even came out. Just cut the guy. We take an L with every headline that identifies him as "Rockets guard Kevin Porter."
