If he's found guilty of just assault the NY sentencing recommendation is 2 to 7 years. Even if he only does 1 year, he'll still be on probation for at least another 2 or 3 years. KPJ's only hope of playing in the NBA again is if his girlfriend AND the witness testify ON HIS BEHALF in trial, and he get a slap on the wrist from the judge if still found guilty of a lighter degree of assault. .... Oh and that 2 to 7 years is ONLY for assault. The strangulation charge, if he's also found guilty of that would certainly add years to that sentence.
the people that did not agree with you, aka haters, had the best interest of rockets in mind. And they turned out to be right. you on the other hand, were wrong, which happens to all of us. But not many keep labeling others as haters even after it turned out what they said were definitely supporting rockets.
I’m thinking there’s a clause in the CBA regarding player behavior when it comes to felonies and domestic violence. Maybe @BimaThug can enlighten us?
The severity of this incident shows how damn far off you and Bobby were claiming KPJ was a changed man. He was actually worse than what people were saying. You were claiming your coaching and parenting skills gave you deeper insight, You went on Rockets Watch and made a damn fool of yourself with an epic meltdown. Get over yourself. Besting you and Bobby in a basketball debate is nothing to celebrate, LOSING to either of you would be quite the feat, Quit deflecting, you **** your pants and everyone smells it.
did you see what Miles Bridges did to his wife? NBA gave him a 30 game suspension and he’s back to playing. KPJ will settle and pay her off. 1 year probation. Etc. I don’t see him doing any jail time. I think the guy has serious issues and shouldn’t play on any professional team…. but his young age and production might have a team take a risk.
Miles Bridges is actually good at basketball, that’s the only reason he’s surviving what he did KPJr had to settle for the type of contract you’d see offered to someone with extreme injury issues because he’s that much of a headcase, and he’s on his 5th incident unlike Bridges
Remember when the media was just “hating” on KPJr when they were saying he’s a huge problem and the Rockets should get rid of him?
I don’t see teams wanting to give this guy another chance. Mainly because he’s already had problems in the past. More trouble than what he’s worth. But, I could be wrong.
It's kind of insane that this team had both Christian Wood and KPJ who commanded the most minutes and touches on the team. And they were coached by a rookie head coach Silas who had minimal control over them. It's like an untalented version of the Jail Blazers.
All he had to do is grow a brain and think about it all before it was too late. Being Slave to that uncontrollable anger.
Let's be serious. He will serve 30 days AT MOST. He isn't a repeat offender and has a ton of money for representation.
People like KPJ and his money needs to seriously hire a person to follow them around and prevent them from doing stupid sht like this. If you know you got anger issues, just hire a person that has the ability to reign you in and check you. Whatever.
There's no Euro team that is going to give him any $ and it's not even about the incident we found out earlier today.
KPJr allowing himself to be held accountable? Lol, yeah right shouldn’t even need someone to tell you not strangle your girlfriend and break her jaw there is no checking people like KPJr or reigning them in KPJr is the type of dude u read about in an article who’s rap sheet is endless…they don’t learn, and they just don’t get it he is dumb, angry, and impulsive…and he does not listen to authority
If he pleads guilty after cutting a deal with the prosecutor it’s certainly possible given that it’s NY where the prosecutor likely has murder cases to worry about, and just wants to move on. We’ll see.
If you read the forum, you'll see that there is a strong correlation between people liking KPJ and Wood, to the point that they were both claimed to be future all stars. Sadly the same correlation was also present in the management. Silas is something different though. And definitely insane.
Bridges also took the QO foe this season (7.9M). Nobody made the Hornets pay him. And again, he is a serious talent. KPjr, with his history of histrionics may struggle to get such a deal. If convicted, I imagine his non-GT contract for next year is likely to be waived. He may well struggle to reach the markers for his incentives (4.8M on top of his 15.8M) - one incentive was simply to play 60 games....
