The invader was the North to the south. The USA white knighted, led to millions more deaths the. The north still came through. It's the same situation .

Yup - that is politics, sometimes you have to pull a rabbit out of your hat or suffer the consequences..... no one said politics is fair, and I guarantee you that they all knew that when they decided to enter the profession.

It is like a ship riding the waves in a storm, you only have so much control.

Not really. You actually believe the Ukrainians, without the help of foreign allied ground troops, will be able to remove Putins troops. This is not going to happen.

When it doesn't happen, you will blame me (who has absolutely no impact on the conflict) and those who did not support the war.

IF Russia ever leaves, it will be through peace talks that will require compromise

Your statement makes no sense? Ukraine has retaken 14x more territory than the Russians have over the past 9 months? RU has literally made zero progress in the past year while UKR have made limited but are making progress?

You can make the argument whether that progress is worth the $$ were pumping but you can't claim Ukr isn't taking basic territory. Why can't you folks debate in facts and truth?

You're busy keeping score. This isn't 'who has the most points at the end of the match' wins. Ukraine has to push Russia out completely. I am not optimistic this will happen with the current man power. I could be wrong. I hope im wrong. I would be happy to be wrong.

You might want to stop getting your news from Russia Today. Remember when you told us the ruble's resilience showed how well Russia was doing? And people told you how stupid you were thinking that a central bank propping up a currency was sustainable and evidence of a good economy? You should check in again on the ruble...

You know who does have experience with this? Ukrainians. And guess what? They want to fight against Russia to preserve their freedoms and way of life. Yet you - the person who has no clue what it's like to be in their situation - seem to think you know better than them what they should do. That makes you both stupid and arrogant.

You said sanctions absolutely work and were working. I stated sanctions were ineffective. Yes, they added friction, but it wasn't going to cripple their economy. In your typical fashion, you are rewording my statements to imply I thought Russia was doing spectacular. I have repeatedly stated this has turned into a war of attrition; what gives first, Ukraine actual fighting force/continuous western support or collapse of Russia/Russians support of Putin. Instead you gloat Prigozins protest/attempt coup due to Putin nationalizing Wagner as evidence Russians are overthrowing Putin. But yet, here we are a year later. Many nations currencies are getting hit hard and you only choose to focus on Russia. Ukraines great counter offensive is drawing down for the season and some half ass attempts at destroying Russias navy. I'm sure destroying their fleet will do wonders getting Russia out of Ukraine

You know who has never said Ukraine should stand down?
Again, people like you have both labeled Russia incompetent and the greatest military threat to Europe. I stated Europe should fund this, not the United States.

Now run along and go dig up some of my posts to make yourself feel better.

COPENHAGEN, Sept 12 (Reuters) - Denmark will donate a package worth 5.8 billion Danish crowns ($833 million) to Ukraine, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, tank ammunition and anti-aircraft guns, the ministry of defence said in a statement on Tuesday.

The full amount is distributed over three rounds - 4.3 billion this year, 1.4 billion in 2024 and 52 million in 2025, the ministry said.

"After more than a year and a half of war, we have almost exhausted our defence stocks. Therefore, we are now looking into more targeted joint procurement and international cooperation, tailored to Ukraine's needs here and now," foreign minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen said in a statement.

This is the twelfth and largest donation package Denmark has sent to Ukraine since Russia invaded the country in February 2022, the ministry added.

It worked in the 1980’s when the Afghanis drove the Soviets out. We didn’t even commit troops to that.

It depends on which lens one wants to use. We were more interested in inflicting as much damage on Russia than we were protecting the Afgans.
