Mike Trout is batting .203 at Minute Maid Park... we should keep it that way.

He's just one player. With Ohtani (almost certainly) going elsewhere in FA, you can literally just pitch around him and make everybody else beat you. We're the team playing half our games here. Any change should have our team in mind.

The Mets, Padres, Yankees, and Red Sox all have a better home record than the Astros

But none of them have a better road record or overall record.

Home and road wins are equal and in the same total so where the wins come don't change anything.

If they win 2/3 of their games on the road and 1/2 at home in the playoffs they will still win the World Series.

I really don't get why people are so hung up on the flukish home road splits. I don't think Altuve is suddenly Barry Bonds on the road just because he has massive splits this season

This isn't the NBA where home court is this massive deal and protecting it is expected. Road teams win in October all the time.

Only 4 runs, Dusty proven right that the lineup means nothing since his other lineups with Maldy have scored double digit runs. Dusty loves to be right.

Had to look it up... and you are surprisingly right. Would have thought that MLB would have the biggest home field advantage due to different field dimensions, but in reality, it is soccer followed by basketball then football... mostly due to officiating....

https://www.chicagobooth.edu/review...s the largest average, win 60.1% of home games.

Who gives a s***? We went 60-21 at home in 2019. How'd that work out in the World Series?

Actually I was flipping back and forth. Did they say that, too? It's not like it's a hard stat to find.

Haha, they did. They did indeed. I was like this guy is watching the telecast!

But yeah, just an abysmal time when it counted the most in 2019. But yeah it doesn't mean a ton I agree on the other teams having a better home record.

Just a thought after looking at Game Day. If the batter's eye is just bit low, then the shorter batters would suffer larger splits, I'm not in the mood to do the research, but I wouldn't mind seeing it. The Home record deficiency is pretty much limited to 2017, 2018 and 2023. And I think I remember them enlarging it at least once.
