She’s much further left than me but we respect each others position and have collaborated on addressing several Issues on disaster relief. Heck she donated to my effort to raise funds for Houston following Harvey. She doesn’t have any connections to Texas but was willing to help out and even use her political connections to try help out.

I`m not for defunding the police, I am for getting better cops, I see WAY to many POS who would rather flex their muscles and take away your rights..............hell, most cops violate your rights on every traffic stop, they know it and still do it. I will back a good cop if and when I ever meet one, but sadly the ones I have met think their badge gives them immunity to just about anything
I'm for defending cops because I understand the reality is that "more funding" means more MOUT houses, more armored vehicles, more tacticool gear etc. "Community policing" will be taught using PowerPoint slides. Those don't cost that much. At the end of the day making all cops wear something like the Red Dead Redemption 2 cops in St Denis( old London style cop uniforms) will make candidates who want to join because the profession has a certain bad ass aesthetic stay away. Make the job of law enforcement look like community work rather than Ricky recon bad ass work.
