credit @TheAstrosLocker for providing the best lineup image we've seen all year lineup codename: sasquatch
Just wish he an Tucker could do it from the get go. The numbers both are capable of putting up over 162 is crazy. Sucks they take a while to get going.
Which adds to the argument that Diaz and Chas should be in the lineup EVERY game. The pitching isn't dominant like it was last yr. It's not like they're giving up defense having Diaz at Catcher instead of Maldy. All the stats favor Diaz. So Dip$h!t should be playing Diaz and Chas every game because it's not even up for debate that having Chas in CF and Diaz catching is the more potent offense. They've played 139 games and look how close of a race it is. EVERY game matters and it could come down to one Fn game for the title or heck even making the playoffs. Dusty you want the city of Houston to "thank you"? Pull your head out of your @$$ and and play the best players and quit juggling the lineup and quit making these asinine comments that you don't have a Julio Rodriguez at your disposal when you actually do have a player who has better stats then him this yr but you continually choose to SIT HIM!!! WAKE THE F UP!!!!
@Nook hearing anything on this front? Not sure if it’s realistic but Stearns as Pres. of baseball Ops and Brown as GM would seem to be really good for this team.
Could we be gelling at the right time ? the offense certainly looks to have picked it up . Bregman hot , altuve healthy and having a great year . We just need yordan and Tucker to also go on a hot streak and we will be set . pitching wise , our bullpen has been solid most of the year . I feel like we are really going to rely on JV and framber . I really wish Luis was healthy . I love that dude . We need one of Javier , Urquidy , or JP to step up . I’m not so confident in Brown .
I don’t see any reason to have more confidence in Urquidy or Javier than brown. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think JP france would pitch first for me in game 3. Yikes.
They have been discussing adding a President of Baseball Operations all season, as well as a couple other top guys on the R&D and scouting side of the organization. Brown doesn’t have a huge ego. Any additions will come with the support of Brown - the idea is to gather a bunch of smart people to work together - that’s the reason Click is gone. Arnold, Stearns and a couple others have been floated a long time. I alluded to Brown wanting to add to the front office about a month ago - but I haven’t heard any single definitive name other than some woman in the Padres front office.
They have Valdez and Verlander at the top of their rotation and the pen has been good - it’s possible that is enough - if Javier was pitching better, they would be golden… I am not so concerned about what the 4-6 starters are doing.
