Last night I went to bed (European time) upon seeing the lineup, said “this lineup with this pitcher means a lopsided loss”. Woke up to see that was right. Tonight at least I have some faith in the pitcher. I’m about 7 hours we will see whether Dusty chooses win the game, or punt again. I predict Brown gets to him, we have good lineups and go WWW.
We just don’t have the pitching to do anything this season. Add on a Jekyll and Hyde offense and I don’t really expect much from this team. How this series goes…nobody knows…because the on/off switch is broken.
Framber needs to keep it together and deliver payback in game 2 If they win only one game and the tie breaker with Arlington is secured hopefully they win the series
I guess its not over unless the Blue Jays pass us as well. Then, no playoffs, No nothing. We got 1.5 games on them. We played them 7 times earlier in the year and lost 4.
It comes down to this. The Astros metal which appeared blemished in the last three games will be tested. It's sports, if they don't pass the test, so be it. Potentially, this team has a lot of talent, but performance wise they don't. I have some thoughts, but I can't fully explain why. Dusty's goofy lineup decisions don't help, but something else is not quite right.
