He just got tired of the forum. I haven’t heard from him recently but he was doing fine a couple of months ago.
Started posting a few days after bobrek stopped. Same posting style (indirectly taking a position by asking "challenging" questions). Same political views. Posts in Astros forum and D&D. So...yes. Anyway, I hope he is alright. That storm surge might have caused a lot of property damage, more so if one is closer to the shore, of course.
if only Pier Morgan would bother to google search on "desantis + disaster aid" DeSantis voted against Sandy aid a decade ago. Now his state needs the help the Florida politician has had a complicated relationship with disaster aid. Now, a day after Hurricane Idalia pummeled Florida less than a year since Hurricane Ian’s destruction, DeSantis is not objecting to federal borrowing when it’ll help his disaster-stricken state. As Florida’s governor — and a 2024 White House contender — he is in regular contact with President Joe Biden as the state seeks dollars from Washington to rebuild from the storm wreckage, assist rescue efforts and aid displaced residents.

Really? Biden is working bipartisanly to help the state you now call home and you can’t give him credit for that but instead repost a tweet about him causing traffic. Also wasn’t Biden criticized for not going to Maui early and now he gets criticized for causing traffic visiting FL even though he waited a few days to go.

Ron DeSantis violates the state constitution and is prohibited from being used for any future U.S. congressional elections since it diminishes the ability of Black voters in north Florida to pick a representative of their choice, a state judge ruled Saturday. … DeSantis, a candidate for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, was criticized for essentially drawing Democratic U.S. Rep. Al Lawson, who is Black, out of office by carving up his district and dividing a large number of Black voters into conservative districts represented by white Republicans. In an unprecedented move, DeSantis interjected himself into the redistricting process last year by vetoing the Republican-dominated Legislature’s map that preserved Lawson’s district. He called a special session, submitted his own map and demanded lawmakers accept it.
