Just imagine the Portuguese Javi Martinez, absolute leader on the pitch and will make our midfield&d so much more compact. Also good at short-passing out of press in the own half.

Been complaining in forums all summer that we should try to sign him, so I'm amazed it's finally happening.

Yeah, maybe don't start the negotations two days before the deadline. Well, there's always the January transfer window.

And also giving up Stanisic, Pavard and Gravenberch with zero replacements.

Absolutely abysmal business, this is embarrassing.

Bitter end to an excellent transfer window. We still have a great squad but only little depth now. Gotta hope for the best until the winter break, when there should be funds available. Maybe they'll check for unsigned players now, I think Choupo-Moting came as a free agent as well back in the day.

I checked earlier and the best options are guys like Sergio Ramos, Guilhavogui, Rudy, Plattenhardt.

Not quite thrilling. Two or three years ago Rudy would've been at least a decent solution until January since he can play multiple positions, but from what I remember he fell off quickly.

On the positive side, Dortmund now dropped points against Bochum and Heidenheim. Guess we'll rather have to focus on Union and Leverkusen this year.

Dreesen just said to look forward to the winter window and basically confirmed that we'll sign Palhinha in the winter transfer period.

Mentioned how he talked with Palhinha for a very long time after the deal fell through and that they'll meet again. Also said that Palhinha was totally devastated after the deal collapsed.

Good game by Laimer as a right back tonight, that's a bit of relief. Also happy for Tel scoring the late gamewinner, just when I thought we'd stumble again in Mönchengladbach.

Ramos would be a solid addition as long as he's willing to come of the bench and mentor our young guys.

Sane has been in really good form since preseason, gives us a ton of creativity and dynamic play around the opponent's box.
And agree, Laimer has been promising at RB today.

Goretzka is working more on d and listening to the coach now, but still mediocre on offense. But this could work til we sign Palhinha in January, at least.

Davies is wildly inconsistent unfortunately and we should consider letting him go next summer, in case this doesn't improve.

I also think we need to go hard after Wirtz next summer, Musiala is more of a winger and has shown he isn't that comfortable in a playmaker role to set up Kane.

Unfortunately seems like he's joining Sevilla, but maybe we could go for Guilavogui.
