RIP Bob Barker

Huge part of my childhood. Like everyone else, I'd watch him in sick days from school. I also used to watch every day with my grandparents before I started school. RIP.

 

RIP. Just found out he was a legitimate black belt in Karate and had trained with Chuck Norris

 

Of course he was and did.

So this is something I didn't know about until a minute ago: Kung Fu Bob Barker

Random facts (I'm assuming are correct) about Bob Barker :

1) His role in Happy Gilmore was originally for Ed McMahon, but when they sent the script to Ed, he never responded.
2) Had graduated (summa c*m laude) with a degree in economics
3) Went to college on a basketball scholarship
4) He guest-hosted WWE Raw
5) He grew up on an Indian reservation
6) He left college to join the military/Naval Reserve as a combat fighter pilot and was about to go into combat when WWII ended. He said the enemy heard he was coming and immediately surrendered. Afterwards, he went back to college to finish his degree.

I watched some of his re-runs from early 80s recently.
