Random note - this is like the 5th time I've seen a post or an infographic type "Dillion" Brooks instead of "Dillon". I don't get it. Dillon / Dylan is a very common name.

Dillion is short for Decamillion. He's an 8.5 Dillion Dollar Man.

    Van Fleet was even worse.

Looks like Stone signed guys long term that can't shoot.

Yep, but they can play D - let's hope we find a balance.

I mean it isn‘t always that easy. Yes, his FG% is bad. Is that because he can‘t shoot, or is it because he takes hard or even bad shots? Both Brooks and FVV can definetly shoot - when they take the right shots. FVV took more than half his shots from 3 - that is gonna bring your percentage down. And he took a lot of contested threes, which also brought his percentage down.

Brooks tries to be the man and create a lot of his own shots and takes heavily contested shots. When he catch and shoots a three his percentage is actually good.

So, we don‘t need to teach those guys to shoot - we need to teach them to take the right shots. Jury is still out, on if that is even possible…

That was a good LockedOn episode. Some really good insider info on Brooks. I’m never gonna be okay with that contract and the years, but I do feel a little better about his D being as good as advertised and his ability to help teach our young guys to play defense. If he starts jacking up bricks and taking shot away from better players that will poison the well for me. But hopefully he’s learned from his mistakes in Memphis.

His performance at the World Cup shows that he is good with limited touches and shot attempts.

Also he thrives against bad teams and mediocre opponents offensively.

He will be fine as a 4th, 5th or 6th option. Kevin Porter and him are those players that should see minutes reduced.

    Should average 8-11 ppg.

    Green 23-26 ppg
    Van Vleet: 16-18 ppg
    Jabari: 17 ppg
    Sengün 15-16 ppg

KPJ: 11-14 ppg (heavily reduced minutes)
    Tari: 9-12 ppg

    Amen
    Cam
    Tate
    Holiday
    Uncle Jeff
Jock/2 way contract players --- Question marks.

*KPJ can also average 15-18 ppg if Udoka is determined to use him.....then substract numbers from another player.

I hope Jabari will eventually average 20+ ppg. Maybe not this season, but by his 3rd season, he should be able to or he will be a big disappointment.

I have a hunch that Udoka might see Jabari as one of his favorites and Sengün as not so favorite.

Battier was such an overrated player. Would get scorched for 40, "but he played smart defense".

The era had rules favoring offensively players that they have since made more equal. Battier’s “smart defense” prevented 60 but it’s a product of the time. If the players back then had played at modern pace, they would have had multiple 60+ games a year in that era. Just look at the efficiency back then - guys today would go WILD at this pace in that foul enforcement era.
