We never did "coach pitch", went straight from Tball to pitching machine and beyond. We thought we were playing REAL BASEBALL and all, there's a fence and everything. So I'm 10ish and just obliterate this ball to dead CF, the tub of goo, who was actually a neighborhood friend of mine, had to be standing 4 feet in front of the wall...stumbles back, hits the wall....sticks his glove up and catches my first big boy HR. So I cried in the dugout for a minute, then Dad the Manager says "get your glove and get your butt out there" and I got over it real quick
