I've been without cable / ESPN for like 4 years and I don't feel like I've missed anything at all. So I wouldn't even pay $5/mo for it at this point.

I have gotten YouTubeTV or SlingTV (whichever had the better promotion at the time) for a couple months each year to watch the NBA playoffs, but I have no need for it during any other time of year.

Watching ESPN seems like an "old person" thing to me. If you're 70+ and retired and need something to take up your time, ok. Otherwise, I don't see it.

    That's steep.

Give me every channel that shows live sports (no blackouts, no additional subscriptions) for ~$60+/mo and I'd do that in a heartbeat...it's really all I watch on cable anyway.

This seems the last throes of the cable racket when they forced the entire package on folks who would never watch ESPN, lifetime, scifi, or country music in the game household.

Watch amzn or apple reinvent the wheel with a multichannel package that features ads but at an economical bulk rate of $15/month... Extrapolate troll toll rate hikes ad infinitum.

Yeah YouTube TV is around but Google can't make and keep a subscription product to save it's life...

Maybe YES if it gets me SEC network, ABC. I do not have access to "TV channels" except for during college football season when I pay like $75 for YouTube TV for a few months. This is cheaper than that. As long as it's cancel anytime I would consider it. But how to access the rest of college football not covered by ESPN?

I wouldn't, but I already get it as part of a cable package. Disney is probably going to bundle it along with other streaming services (e.g. disney+, espn+, hulu) and charge you $50-60 per month for the whole package. Streaming's ending up just like cable (minus the broadcast and equipment fees).

I already have ESPN and never watch it. Nothing but BS hot take shows and milking the story of the moment for all it's worth. In the age of the internet with videos of everything at a seconds notice this channel does absolutely nothing for me.

I would pay $50 a month for guaranteed access to all Rockets/Astros games, otherwise cable TV serves little purpose.

I used to say I couldn't live without ESPN, now I rarely watch it.............its the same shows over and over and over and over again. I feel its not relevant anymore or I am just getting older.........

If you like college sports, espn is a must-have. I don't understand how anybody can watch the talk shows (college gameday excluded, that's great background tv on saturday mornings)

Antenna in the attic, plugged into the cable TV junction, signal booster and QAM tuner, which is built in to most modern TVs. I get HD quality local channels when I need them. Use TVFool.com to triangulate and point the antenna. $100+ a few hours of your life to set it up.

I wouldn't. Guess I'd have more time on my hands on Monday nights during football season.
