Spoon makes more than 5.42 mil per year -contract expires after 2005 / 2006 season.

Could he be traded for Robert Traylor or the rights to another big man???

Robert Traylor signed a ONE year deal for 1.6M with Cleveland just recently. Heck if you wanted him you could have had him for less than we probably are paying Charlie Ward.

If a team had talent, why would they trade it to us for 'Spoon?

To get rid of a large contract, to save money.

Or maybe the other player is supposedly a cancer in the lockerroom, but we're willing to give him a chance.

Or maybe he is in the coach's doghouse?

Or maybe he hasn't reached his potential yet and his current value is equal to that of Spoon's?

how about Spoon straight up for Mike Olowakandi?

The Wolves seemed to play better without him.

They'd still need a C though. I wonder why the Sonics haven't pounced on this, offering Jerome James or Vitaly Potapenko. Kandi could be their clear starter for a couple of seasons while Swift develops, and then Kandi's contract expires.

Minny would get more of a hardworking, role playing C on their team, both of whom could really help out on a talented team.

Even if the contracts mached up....didn't Sane say that you can't use the exception with a player?
