in the debate, Nikki Haley B itch-slapped Vivek Vivek slammed the current administration’s support and dismissed Mike Pence and Chris Christie’s visits to Ukraine. U.S. support of Ukraine is “disastrous,” he said, and resources going to Kyiv should instead be used domestically. “This is disastrous, we are protecting against an invasion across somebody else’s border, when we should use those same military resources to prevent the invasion across our southern border,” Ramaswamy said, adding that the U.S. should pivot its focus on China instead. The response to his remarks was swift and sharp. “You have no foreign policy experience, and it shows,” Nikki Haley shot back.
Not that you're a citizen or anything, but do you agree with him that we should further restrict voting rights?
What a cesspool of weirdos and misfits… it was like Arkham Asylum out there on stage with the creepy Indian troll, the personable Meatball Ron, the morbidly obese Christie (you could see his poor heart trying not to shut down through his sweat reflections)… the closeted homosexual Pence and some guy named Asa.. I was half way expecting Killer Croc to come out of the sewer, eat Haley and tell us his positions on shooting people crossing the border. No one won - but the American people lost.
Watched Vivek during the debate, as well as a few of his earlier interviews. Guy gives off very strong "used car salesman" vibes. Talks a good, glib game...but no real "there", there. Overly polished at times to the point of suspicion. Blinding teeth. Smarmy, condescending and cocky. I think that Nikki Haley, Pence and Christie genuinely dislike him. I also think that more and more conservative women will be turned off by him over time. Vivek seems like the Republican 2024 version of Andrew Yang, with some Bloomberg mixed in. He obviously won't be president in 2024, but I don't think he'll ever be president (in 2028 or beyond). I also don't see Trump picking him for VP.
Jerry Springer is laughing somewhere in heaven. Mods quickly lost control of the debate and they couldn’t even ring the “times up” bell right. but it was great entertainment tonight
Vivek has taken their play of saying the most outrageously polarizing things then using lib outrage for carrying water. Ron cucked himself when the Dark Prince wasn't even in the building (Baron). Which is telling since Ronny played the same game when he had "less" to lose. Letting a VC tech bro sociopath outgame you and hog the spotlight is the next level in Dante's inferno for these folks and for us who allowed it to get this far.
Boy, I lost a ton of respect on Viv`s policies, I don't much agree with anything he has to say...........as another poster said, he comes off as a used car salesman who was holding trump's jock while he was not present. Pence did ok.......ron was ron, I think his aspirations of being president are done. I actually thought Haley came off as polished and I agree with her on several policies and she was honest enough to show the republicans are just as much at fault as the dems on spending, I like her take on abortion that we don't demonize mothers and Dr`s and I think 15 weeks is a good starting point for a conversation. I also like her stance on Russia, I feel to many newbies think they can outsmart putin when in reality the man is a stone-cold killer and you cannot trust anything that comes out of his mouth, the dude is literally killing off his enemies..............LITERALLY KILLING THEM, but some in the gop call him a genius. The real winner was trump and now he gets the 24 hours news cycle as he heads to fulton county................who has the over /under on if he smiles for his mug shot
Most analysts don’t agree with that. Also people forget that Perot dropped out of the race for a few months over the summer of 1992 and Clinton was leading in the polls then. GH Bush lost not because of Perot but because the economy was bad and he was seen as out of touch.
Was that it? Was that the b**** slapping? That's as vague and empty a statement as one could possibly make. That's not a b**** slapping. There must have been more to it. I didn't watch, so maybe I'm missing the context. Maybe the crowd erupted. But that line is as meh a statement as one could get. Although, to be fair, it's probably the best that the hollow, donor-created Haley could come up with.
Didn't watch the debate (nor trump's commercial with tucker), but reactions I have read made it sound like vivek managed to make himself unlikable in the debate and nikki and pence had the best performances. Yet I suspect message and even delivery isn't important in todays republican party... and being offensive is. So guessing most of the trump supporters here liked vivek the best.
What's going to be interesting is if somehow Ramaswamy does end up being the last guy standing versus Trump. Trump will not hesitate to turn on Ramaswamy but will Ramaswamy be able to muster anything against Trump?
