I have noticed Joe Espada sitting next to Dusty in Game 2 that Joe is telling Dusty the situation.

Joe Espada really is the Leader, Dusty did say Joe Espada is the one who organizes Spring Training. I have noticed Joe Espada has more advance Charts, Scouting Notes. Dusty is clueless what Analytics is.

 

If I had to bet, a lie seems more likely. Dusty gives more days off ( and during very important times) than you can shake a stick at.

It does feel like a playoff loss.

 

Dusty is such a casual coach. There is no sense of urgency with him. And the decisions are at times beyond astounding. Your final hitter is a guy who is 1 for 40. But, you know what ? That move typifies Dusty. No one here is surprised. If his head shaking moves produced results...you'd have to give him his credit. BUT... 1-8 in extra inning games and 56 losses with this team is pedestrian IMO.

 

Yup - but Baker wanted to give Julks a chance to be the hero, hoping it would get him going - and Dusty could say “I told you”

 

Can Brown just please send Julks back down? No idea why he even got called back up, he's useless right now and having Julks will just allow Dusty to play him. Is there no one else in the minors who deserves a shot?

Sending out woefully under-qualified players in the biggest moment to make a statement didn't work for England in the Euros a few years back, it didn't work when Popovitch subbed out Duncan in the final seconds of the 4th against the Heat in 2013, and it doesn't work now.

I have noticed that rockets1995 sits next to my Mom during every game. My Mom drinks box wine starting at 11 everyday and I think rockets1995 is clueless to what alcoholism is and I blame him for everything.

 

Does anyone really expect us to finish anywhere but 3rd behind TEX and SEA in this race the way things are going with this team? We are too fragile this season. Handle with care.

Dusty makes some head scratching decisions (I understand he could have just not batted Julks), but at some point Dana has to have some accountability due to roster creation. Having guys like Bligh Madris and Julks as your final AB this season….painful

I get the trade deadline didn’t have many bats, or too much was being asked/etc. But is it that hard to find guys who are better than Bligh and Julks? Not talking 04 Carlos Beltran but maybe a bat like ex stros Jose Vizcaino or Orlando Merced (solid reserves, good PH). Hell, Mike Lamb. Maybe it’s just gotten more difficult to find those types of players

 

We don’t have the pitching to go deep in the playoffs.
