Yeah knowing people who work over at NASA and people in the military who would be in the know, they would highly disagree with that statement based on what I know. Overnight many of our fragmented DOD funded tech capabilities could be redirected and would be able to handle the scale needs of NASA as a public facing unclassified display of space and satellite innovation.

Just yesterday I was in a meeting with a client who designs parts for the aircraft that just took Richard Branson for a pretty fun ride. Guess what… all of those engineers working on that project currently would switch from the private company they are with now if the funding shifted to NASA or Space Force.

The government is just making the choice to sort of launder the money through a private company, and have it spread out more instead of all residing under NASA. It’s a calculated approach. However it doesn’t mean that in the end all of these world class engineers aren’t still working for the USA, and I think they would take great offense to the notion that China and certainly Russia have a leg up on what they are doing.

If the government wanted Starlink under NASA they could easy just not send an RFP next month to Space X, and instead announce it’s going to NASA and the engineers working on those projects would be happy to flock over to NASA to be working on the same thing they were going to be working on the day before with the same background checks, clearances, etc.

I think it was in the last year or two that this was 100% confirmed. One of the guys who made the deal finally admitted it. Yep, I found an article about it. The threads between these events are interesting, like the similarities between the Brooks Brothers riot and the Capitol riot. The fake elector scheme was also brought up in 2000 in Florida.

    https://nymag.com/intelligencer/202...-gop-plot-to-prolong-iran-hostage-crisis.html

A former Texas lawmaker, compelled by the news of former president Jimmy Carter entering hospice care, has come forward to reveal that there was, in fact, a secret GOP effort in 1980 to prevent Iran from releasing more than 50 Americans hostages until after that year’s presidential election.

Former Texas lieutenant governor Ben Barnes, 85, has told the New York Times that in the summer of 1980, he accompanied his mentor and one-time business partner, former Texas governor John Connally, on a trip to the Middle East during which Connally asked Arab leaders to communicate to Iranian officials that they should not release the hostages before Election Day because if they waited, Ronald Reagan would offer them a better deal. (Connally, at that point a former Democrat, is also known for being the other person seriously wounded during the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963.)

Putin bruh, what did the 9 others on the plane do to you??

You could've went for the kill then throw his body off a one story building...

Anyhow, Russia peaceniks ignored Prig's calling out that the pretenses for invading Ukraine was a farce. That was probably the highlight of his ugly life, the silver lining in a cloud of ****.

Came here to mention that Prigozhin might've been killed but it looks like others have beaten me to it.

My first reaction to this news was to think about the response of Wagner guys who stood down when instructed to by Prigozhin…then a “truce” broken. Yikes.

Wagner doesn't have the capability of over throwing the Russian government. That's why Prigozhin called off the first coup. They simply don't have near enough manpower, equipment or backing from other powerful players to effectuate a successful coup.
