Agree 100%. I can't believe this thread is even relevant after the Big Lie. Just goes to show how many millions are brainwashed by their cult leader, and that the GOP has embraced corruption and deceit to get power again. It was never about law and order with any of them. I saw an interview with Will Hurd, yesterday. He made a good point about most of the candidates not being willing to attack Trump. He said when everyone is down by more than double digits, nobody will make that up by refusing to attack or even defend the person with the lead. It is a losing strategy for every single candidate who isn't Donald Trump.
There's a difference between attacking Trump and furthering his lies though. The whole GOP campaign has turned into one of hateful BS, about Dems being communists, Marxists, groomers, and pedophiles. They still call it a rigged election, and blame a crooked DOJ, and crooked FBI run by Biden as election interference. They can stop the propaganda and lies, even if they don't attack Trump personally.
They could, but that won't really help them win. But most of the candidates aren't even trying to win. If they were they'd be willing to take on the front runner. They simply aren't.
I think the not so secret hope is that Trump falters or actually is convicted and then one of them can swoop in and take the MAGA mantle. I think in the case of Ramaswamy and a few others is they are setting themselves up for future office whether Trump wins or not. To add some of those currently in office might also feel that not going along with things like "the DOJ is corrupt" might put them at risk of getting primaried even if they don't win the GOP nomination for President.
To say that trump has eviscerated the gop for years to come is an understatement, he owns them lock, stock and barrel. If one of them gets out of line trump will primary them, talk ill of him and you will get a new nickname and you will be ostracized, have a different opinion, then you're a RINO...........not to mention this is a convicted rapist and is currently under 4 indictments including trying to overthrow the election..........................so yea, sounds about right for the "new gop" but what about hunter!!!!!
