Astros would be better off starting Robel and Bielak a time or two. They might lose the games, but at least certain guys would get rest, which it's better than losing AND no rest
I hear ya…but the story of the game, to me, was falling behind 6-0 after 3 innings. That’s a big hole to dig out of. They matched those runs, eventually…but damn the starting pitching has to be better than this. You’re right though…Pena not covering second on that play was really bad
Overall we looked terrible but there is maybe a little hope associated with this last game. putting Mush in was a bas choice in hindsight. Seemed like damage control at the time so maybe I let Dusty off the hook for that choice.
Defense gave them a couple of those, but I hear you, too, Brown was horrible from the beginning. I now have a strong urge to make calzones this week.
What now? This was as disastrous regular season series as we’ve had in a while. starting pitching is quite literally in shambles. You have a manager who simply refuses to play his best players as often as possible. A seasoned team that routinely shot itself in the foot in the field and on the base paths. What does Dusty do from here?
I was pulling for that guy. I still think he may start to get hits if he keeps playing. It’s just that time is of the essence right now.
