I don’t think he has lost the clubhouse - but he hasn’t played his best players and that means a slim margin for error- couple that with guys like Javier and Valdez pitching hurt and having no off season with the WS and WBC and this is what you get. It didn’t help that Abreu hid that he hurt his back at the end of spring training - that a catcher with nearly 20 homers in 250 at bats was glued to the bench for half the season. Just a lot of chaos for an organization with a new GM, and new #2 assistant and a manager that wasn’t picked by the GM and a GM that doesn’t have the knowledge of the team that a long term GM would. This Winter we will see changes and some stuff tightened up - but let’s see what happens in October first.
