I thought he did fine for few games that he play at 1B. We know all why he’s not playing there.

I don't even remember how JV/Dubon even started?

 

Sigh - just looked at the lineup. Obvi Maldy is in there but why not DH Diaz and let Yordan play left and chas in center . No one would complain . Literally no one. Bottom order looks like auto-outs unless Pena is feeling it

Big OF not ideal for Yordan with JV on the mound. Meyers in CF, Chas in LF, Diaz at 1B would have been my pick, but oh well.

 

According to Dusty, he likes Dubon out there to prevent guys from taking extra bases while JV is pitching.

 

Diaz at catcher and maldy on the bench should be the first thing anyone with a brain would do.

The crazy thing is that those are such obvious choices that it starts to feel like borderline malfeasance Dusty would go w the lineup he chose. If you're trying to actually win baseball games how does Dusty so routinely land on his decisions? How do you keep Diaz's bat on the bench for the 3rd time in 4 games?
